Initially you may think this to be outrageously priced but compared to a Ruth Chris, Ryan's is a deal. Our dinner included one drink, appetizer and entrees -- no dessert. $100 sans tip. Considering the exceptional service and quality, this is not out of bounds.

Best service around, good wine menu and great food. I was there in 1987 when my husband proposed to me. I was there in 1998 for my parents 50th anniversary celebration, and i was there last week by myself and everything is still the great...More

One of the best if not the best restaurants in the Winston-Salem area. It is a very out of the way place in the middle of town. Very romantic set back in the woods. The food is fabulous and the staff works very hard to...More

Ryan's is a WS upscale (not quite "fine") dining staple. It's not imaginative or adventurous - nor cheap - but they do the staples with great proficiency. It excels at exactly what it claims to - steak at seafood. Service has always been good. Atmosphere...More

I consider Ryan's as one of my top dining experiences. My wife had prime rib & I had the scallops; both entrees were delicious. Our waiter was pleasant, efficient, and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean, temperature was perfect, great view of the forest, not...More

Ryan's is a great place to go for a slow, relaxing dinner with friends. The steaks are awesome and the wine list is excellent and not over-priced. On our recent visit we tried the ALMOND FRIED BRIE but were very disappointed. It was fried to...More

Wanted to try something different for my anniversary. We ordered steak and fish. Steak was mediocre and so was the fish. Waiter was young and not engaged. Drink selection was woefully antiquated. The smell bothered my sinuses I think because of the wood and NC...More

We don't typically have many small children in the restaurant but that doesn't mean well-behaved children are not allowed. We do not have high chairs, however.

The price is relative to what you want, In general entrée will be from around 24 to 50, appetizers may run from 8 to 14. Wine is fairly typical for fine dinning.
