Great food great family owned business. Hot pork loin sandwich is the best. Top of the line hot dogs and cheeseburgers, can't be beat. The management adds their personal touch to every patron.

Great hot dogs & club sandwich. Friendly staff that had a sense of humor. Would go again when in Wilson, worth driving past the chain restaurants to get to
In Wilson for sons Hs baseball game with friends. Had not been to Dicks in 15 yrs. As delicious now as it was then. Had the jumbo dog ATW (chili, mustard, onions)and fries. Chili was tasty. Not a lot of flash, but very flavorful. Hot dog was 1/4 lb all beef frank that was fried and then finished on the... More
Have been several times and have found the hotdogs to be average quality at best. A Wilson landmark and the Glimaris family are wonderful people; the inside of the restaurant is filled with photos of sports personalities. The history and memorabilia are to me more inviting than the food.
I had heard people talk about Dick's for several years so I thought I would try it on a recent trip. The hot dogs were very good and reasonably priced. Since I don't like chili, I had a hotdog with ketchup on it. My husband had the works and commented that the chili was excellent. We will eat at Dick's... More
It is a local hot dog stand that caters to local tastes. They have limited parking so it is normally best to get there before noon. Dick's has good hot dogs and hamburgers. The chili is a little drier than what some people are used to, but that is the way a lot of people in Wilson like their chili.... More
Stopped in Wilson NC for lunch. Eating at Dick's Hot Dog stand Est: 1921. Was a average dog and slaw but the sauce as they calls it was way too dry, it was just hamburger with spices and spread on top of mustard and onions. They also need to also put some ventilation in the bathrooms as the men's smelled... More
This place may be an institution, but the hot dogs are awful! The sauce was dry, had few onions, and the hot dogs had no snap. I don't think that southerners have any idea what great dogs are!! Want unforgettable ones? Go north of the Mason-Dixon!!
