Conveniently located on the Cotton Exchange, a restored collection of cotton related 19th century business buildings in downtown Wilmington. Service, both sit-down and take out, is excellent. Food is authentic German cuisine, somplete with some apple strudel so good you will swear you are in...More

The tastes and memories of Germany were revived when old friends and travel mates visited The German Cafe. If feels and smells of wonderful Bavarian bratskellers. The weinerschnitzel and chicken schnitzel were wonderful. The dark lager beer (Baltika #4) was excellent. Too full for dessert,...More

Authentic atmosphere, good selection of German wine and beer, traditional German dishes, excellent service. I was pleasantly surprised to also find a selection of chocolates and cookies from Germany. All of the desserts are homemade!

I absolutely loved the veal schnitzel and cabbage, the Kartoffelpuffer "potato pancake" is very tasty. The beer is strong and heavy or light and refreshing. I really love the Spaten Optimator Dark Beer. 😊🍻

I loved this visit to "Germany". It was very like a small German cafe on the inside. The service was really great and the beer was BIG and cold. I loved my "Red" rueben sandwich. My family enjoyed their sausage, schnitzel and sides. It was...More
