We visited with friends who live in Wilmington. Found the atmosphere to be relaxed but a bit noisy in the main dining area. The menu was varied and we all had fish- flounder and mussels being the selections of the day. Wine list was good, drinks generous, and service excellent. Strongly recommend if in the Wilmington area- worth a short... More

We scored a foursome in the bar;!important since the main room makes conversation difficult. Had a dozen oysters and country pâté. Good martinis, good apps and good mains.

My wife and myself, on our first trip to Wilmington, ate lunch here on the recommendation of a friend. It is easy to find with plenty of parking at least at this time of the year. It was nice enough to eat outside on their back patio, very nice. The inside of the restaurant is very up-to-date with a nice... More

On a Tuesday at 6:30 the place was not busy and so quiet. We started out with their house wine that was OK. I ordered mussels diablo for the table. I could not believe how big a pan of the little gems they brought us and the sauce was great. Two of us had the Bouillabaisse and were very happy. The... More

Lack of attention to detail and a poorly trained staff go a long way towards turning what could be a great restaurant into a merely mediocre one. We arrived just after the restaurant opened, and very few patrons were there yet, but despite that, we were seated by a lady who had "no time" to either greet us pleasantly or... More

If you've ever enjoyed fresh Atlantic mussels served at one of the restaurants along Petite Rue des Bouchers in Brussels, you will feel transported back to that savory experience by a meal at Brasserie du Soleil in (oddly enough) Wilmington, North Carolina. From decor and server costumes to the French/Belgian recipes at the Brasserie, the experience is authentically detailed. Service... More

My husband and I have been going to Brasserie du Soleil for a few months now. We are always happy when the meals come hot and picture-perfect. I was happy ordering the mussels on most visits. I branched out and ordered the salmon on one visit and a special on another. Again, the food was incredible. My husband, on the... More

This place is busy and a little noisy, but the food is Great! We had three appetizers to pass along and each were very good.I had the Pork veal scallopini and loved it. They have mini desserts for $3.50 that everyone loved. I had the house red and have to say it was very ordinary ($2 buck chuck quality), but... More

First time there was today, but it won't be the last time. The food was excellent. I had the roasted chicken, which was perfect. The sides were also excellent - spinach and carrots prepared in a really nice way. Everyone at our table was pleased from the salads to the sandwiches!
