My husband and I moved to the area from another location in Raleigh in April and were hunting for local food spots when we came across Village Deli. Now it has become one of our favorite places and our go to lunch spot. We have had the turkey club, pastrami, fish and chips, broccoli soup, crab bisque, and ham sandwich.... More
The village deli is a great place for a quick meal with out have a waitress or waiter wait tables. The food is great and has a large assortment of menu items to suit all of your family. The only improvement would be to ventilation. Them kitchen exhaust hood seem to not pull the fryer fumes out, so your cloths... More
Great place to go for breakfast. Basically diner food. They do carry a local gluten free bakery's (imagine that GF) GF breads. Love coming here for breakfast like egg and bacon GF pita sand which. They are open earlier than most places.
Went in for a quick dinner. They offer beer, wine, desserts, salads and sandwiches. Had never tried the place so went in for dinner. Had the oyster poboy, sweet potatoe fries and the hubby had homemade chicken salad and the roasted pepper and Gouda soup. Well it was ok but the dessert which was the pineapple pecan cake was AMAZING!!... More
Village Deli is one of my favorite lunch spots. I love the triple-decker turkey bacon club here. I also love the mediterranean salad with the homemade balsamic vinaigrette.
Especially like soup and 1/2 sandwich for a good lunch. Prices comparable, Easy to dine on patio or outside.
I ordered their chicken salad sandwich and was surprised and delighted with the addition of walnuts, apples and cucumbers. Made a lovely crispness to the sandwich. And their coffee is better than average. You serve yourself and they're generous with syrup flavors and spices. Nice change of pace.
