I went here for lunch and was more than pleased. My favorite was the braised brussel sprouts. Who knew brussel sprouts could taste so good!

Visited the Native Kitchen on a Thursday night and could not understand why the large parking lot was so full. After an amazing, reasonably priced dinner I understand! I had a flavorful shrimp gumbo, while my lady love ordered the red snapper, both of which we raved about on the trip home. Our server, Rich (?) was attentive and knowledgeable.... More

Stopped in last night on a Trip Advisor suggestion. I love local places like this. It was spacious, clean, cooly decorated, and the staff was as friendly as could be. If that isn't enough, the food (I had the jumbo shrimp brew) was outstanding and there were numerous microbrews on tap. Very close to the Asheville East KOA and well... More

We stopped for a quick dinner with a friend who lives nearby and were very pleasantly suprised by the quality of the kichen's offerings. I particularly recommend the Fresh NC trout, which was served with a meltingly delicious risotto and brussels sprouts.

We were the first party seated when the restaurant opened. Ordered drinks (beer or wine ) and an order of brussel sprouts. The came quickly and were tasty And hot. 6 other tables were seated while we ate. Then their entrees arrived. Finally said sometjing to the waitress who said she would check. Still no food or rational explanation. When... More

Visit when not busy. Really loved our meal while watching silent movies. Good service and food looks like it would be fun to go to when there is live music

Most people wouldn't consider Swannanoa an important part of Asheville's "food destination" scene, but what a a mistake that would be. It may be a little off the beaten path, but take the detour and stop in. Atmosphere is lively yet peaceful, and the outside dining area is very comfortable ( even though aluminum chairs could use some padding). On... More

It was a birthday celebratory dinner. It was an early dinner on a lovely Sunday evening, so we sat outside. Our server, Jackie, was fantastic: attentive, informative, seemingly intuitive about when we needed something...anything. We started with the Flaming Lip cocktail (blood orange, saki, lime,...?) which was absolutely delicious - on the sour side, which I love. The stacked fried... More

We have been to Native before and our son really likes it. Hurrah! Wine in a wine a real wine glass. Sorry I like my wine in a wine glass not a small juice glass so glad they have made that change. I had the trout which was excellent, best meal I have had here. The Mac'n Cheese is great... More

Description
Native was started by two North Carolina couples who recognized the need for sustainable food practices, and a responsibility that we all share when it comes to our soil, water and air. We believe strongly in supporting farming techniques, which are sustainable, organic, and regenerative. These local farms restore the fabric of rural communities, decrease water and air pollution, preserve and build topsoil and produce wonderful crops. The foods they deliver to our tables are high in nutritive value and are without chemical residue. Our support to these dedicated farmers yields healthier ingredients that strengthens our sense of local community, builds our local community and, most importantly, it is a vital step toward protecting these resources for future generations. It is important to us that we not only provide local food, but that we strive to support our local breweries, artists, musicians and community. Native is a gathering place to celebrate our local culture, and we hope that you enjoy your visit with us!
