This place has long been a family favorite so we were sad to see the previous owners leave. The new owners are friendly and welcoming, the food is fantastic, as is the location. They were very helpful with our dietary needs as well. The only downside is the lack of eftpos (probably temporary) which limited our menu selections to the... More

When we visited this cafe it only had the new owners in for a few weeks yet they did a great meal & the food was very good. The garlic bread was great but could do with another slice or two to justify the price. The steak was great with Bearnaise sauce the best I've had and the sides also... More

For a cafe/restaurant this was better than expected. Lovely atmosphere with table service in a nicely presented large Cafe setting. The menu includes options other than seafood along with desserts, however something noticeable was not being offered water for the table. They also ran out of rice so we were given pasta for our curries instead, without being offered a... More

This family run place is a great little thing where you can get all kinds food even though they specialize in sea food. Besides they have a great bar with nice Italian coffee and organic Ceylon tea. I loved it! There are even paintings on the walls for sale, done by their children. Amazing things.

The food wasn't bad but way to expensive. The food was pub grub really with less and garnished with more than pub half slice of orange. The drinks are three times that of any where else and the dining room is over crowded. Since my last visit The Black Cockatoo has closed down.

This little cafe has it all. Clean, welcoming, child friendly, relaxing, efficient, great value and THE FOOD IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS. We popped in with our hungry wee ones after feeding the dolphins at the boat harbour. It was during the towns seafood festival so it was very busy. It was a welcome relief after the hectic and grubby surrounds on... More

I've been fortunate to dine here at The Black Cockatoo a few times over the past couple of years whilst on holiday in the area. It's a great cafe. Brekkies are generously sized and delicious. Lunch is my favourite here. Always lots of fresh seafood options and a well stocked bar to match! Will be back again

Thank you for a warm welcome to the Bay. Enjoyed a great lunch on the Friday, especially as you cater well offering non-meat dishes for those that choose. Good home cooked food, so we decided to return for dinner on Saturday evening and weren't disappointed, even though there was a bit of a wait for our food. Thank you for... More

We pulled up very late and luckily the were still serving. The food and service were great and if we head that way again we would be sure to stop there again.
