We are locals and use the BG regularly - located in the heart of the village and definitely a friendly place to hang out and watch the world go by. Run by young enthusiastic and friendly people who keep this place the coolest venue in Croyde.

Having previously had great evening here I was looking forward to NYE. Sadly things didn't work out too well... we only found out towards the end of the meal that the place was closing for a couple of months that night as it's the quiet season ... but if you are going to open for the evening and offer food... Didn't realise this place was open during winter months now but glad we noticed on way to one of our frequent walks. Popped in our way back home (local) and were pleasantly surprised by choices offered mid afternoon for a late lunch. Food was tasty and good sized portions served by cheery staff. Sweet potato fries were one of best... More

Dropped in for coffee and a cake but after looking at the menu we stayed for lunch. Toasted and plain sandwiches went down very well. However the toasted ham, cheese and pickle had the pickle inside the toasted sarnie rather than cold pickle on the plate. Maybe just me but I'm sure that is what most people would expect...... warm... More

I enjoyed the visit, the food was great and the staff were friendly. The restaurant is in an ideal location and well worth a visit if you are staying in Croyde for a holiday. The selection of food on offer was good and the fish fresh and cooked well. We were a party of 7 with 4 young teenagers and... More

We've visited Blue Groove for breakfast and evening meals every October half term for the last 3 years. The food is consistently good - especially the fish dishes. I had the fish bouillabaisse and hubbie had fish and chips on our last visit. They do kids portion of mussels which my daughter loves. Breakfast is also lovely and we tried... More
