I'm really surprised at all of the great reviews of this restaurant. To start, my husband and I were very excited about checking Jose & Sons out. There is a parking lot in the depot that makes downtown eating so much more convenient. The atmosphere...More

Dance night was fun. They have a night where they just play Latin music-cumbia, merengue, bachata, merengue I enjoyed myself. I gave it 4 stars because of the food I got ( flautas) weren't as flavorful as I thought. But honestly the atmosphere is cool...More

We had dinner here on a Saturday night. The spicy Pineapple margarita was awesome. The crank arm Barbados tasted great so did the chicharron and waffles. The waitress was great too.

What fun! We thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the vibe at Jose and Sons. We ordered the guacamole, vendor street corn, and the flautas from the small plates menu. All delicious.

We serve comfort food that celebrates our forefathers’s Mexican roots and the culinary traditions of the local neighborhood. "On the plate, “Mexican-Southern” translates to dishes such as chicharrones and waffles, and shrimp and masa “grits” with Chihuahua cheese. You can expect to see Southern staples such as okra and collard greens done in new ways, too. An emphasis on local sourcing means that even the chiles rellenos on the traditional side of the menu may not always be made with the standard poblanos." Greg Cox, N&O
