Don't let the fact that it's located in a strip mall with a Harris Teeter and an Ace Hardware deter you. This is fine dining! And once you are in the door you won't notice the location. This is cuisine as art, poetry and theater. Service is top-notch, and there are no bad choices on the menu. Without a doubt... More

We brought our parents here last time they were in town to celebrate and Saint Jacques did not disappoint! It was an overall amazing experience - food, service, drinks, everything! Hands down some of the best escargot we have ever had and the lamb dish was incredible. Don't miss the chocolate mousse for dessert!!

I had a wonderful meal here...a foie gras mousse amuse bouche, followed by a venison pate with apple mango chutney, shrimp and scallop vol au vent, and of course, chocolate mousse. Chef presented each of his plates, which were expertly prepared. The entree protein was a little sparse, one large sea scallop and 2 medium shrimp, but with 3+ courses,... More

This is the best French restaurant in Raleigh. The place is small and unassuming, located in a strip mall. But once you get inside it's like another world. Small and cozy and very delicious food. The staff are great and the chef comes out to talk to you about your meal. This is our go to spot for a romantic... More

This was our first visit to Saint Jacques since the change in ownership and we were not disappointed. The service was spot on, the atmosphere remains elegantly casual and the food was absolutely wonderful. I had the foie gras and then the short ribs and the wife had coquille St. Jacques and then lamb. All were elegantly presented and delicious.... More

This is our go-to special event restaurant in Raleigh. Don't be turned off by location in strip mall; the inside is classy and clean, and the food is incredible. Locally-sourced menu frequently changes keeping it exciting, but with a few French staples always available (pate, mussels, onion soup).

The food was very, very good and definitely classic French - a 5. We had the lamb and a Bordeaux, very good. My husband, an interior designer, was annoyed by the ambiance - a 3. The waiter was a delight and spoke French which added to the experience.

Truely amazing dinner experience. We arrived on a Friday evening without a reservation and were able to get a table for four. The waitress was an extremely friendly French speaking young lady from Canada. Everything ordered was delicious. We've lived in Raleigh for over 10 years and this was THE BEST dinner experience we have ever had.

They have wine dinner almost every month with set menu and pairings. Wine pairings typically have a theme or a region. Discovered this place about an year ago. Since then me and my wife have been to their wine dinners 7-8 times. Our experience has been between very good to excellent. Wait staff are always attentive. The chef comes out... More
