Overpriced meal. They barely put food on your plate. My collards were served cold and meat hot. I got there before another person, they were served first. They give u bull u know what for takeout...never order take out. It will be served cold. If you order goat or lamb u will get one slice of meat. I got more... More

You never know what you can find in seemingly out-of-the way places. While my favorite ethnic cuisine is Indian, this place was an interesting change. The food is served on a large, thin, spongy kind of bread that you pull apart to use to scoop up your entrée. While I enjoy spicy, but not overpoweringly hot, this fit the bill... More

The food was far overpriced. My parents and I ordered two different items, each being nearly $15. When the food came, we ended up with the same dish, the only difference being the sides, both very unappetizing and cheap. Pickled cabbage or a hard boiled egg? The ambiance was mildly pleasing with cultural pictures all over the walls, but the... More

Authentic Ethiopian food, above average, in my experience, for Addis Ababa. A friendly atmosphere with attentive service. In the lower level of the main building of the Avent Ferry shopping center. A large menu so there are a lot of choices, and the spice level of the dishes is indicated.

Came here for lunch and the food was really good! I used to come here all the time when I lived in the area, and the food is still delicious. The portion sizes seem small, but most Ethiopian resturants serve similar sized portions and once you start eating with the bread, it's more than enough.

Modest decor (if thematic), quiet and uncrowded. Friendly enough service/waitress. Not particularly explanatory or descriptive, despite our having announced first visit and some guests' unfamiliarity with cuisine in type or flavors. But we worked through it with our own enthusiasm. Several ordered African red wine, which was good if a bit sweet and actually paired well with the food once... More

Food taste was good. Have had better in Orlando and New York but have also had much worse in Chapel Hill. Bread was authentic. Service was friendly. Portion size seemed small I thought. Not as much variety in the vegetables and lentils and salads that are in the periphery of the platter. Overall I would rate a 3.5. Would go... More

Slightly challenging to find this place as it is tucked away with some small shops behind a large movie theater. I started with a spicy injera appetizer and then got the vegetarian platter - both were good. The other choices (I wanted to try the goat meat) had a side of only one veggie and sounded like heavy meat dishes.... More

Be ready for a great meal that you eat with your fingers. Served in traditional Ethiopian style by the kindest staff possible! The lamb, beef and chicken dishes are all winners (we got a meat combination plate) and the red lentils and salad are excellent as well! We also had two glasses of the African white wine and it was... More

This is amazing. If you have never eaten Ethiopian, come prepared. First, wash your hands. Silverware is not provided. The food is served on a large plate covered with a piece of bread, called injera. It's not your typical white flour bread, but a flat, soft bread good for tearing and picking up your food. I usually start with the... More
