We used to eat at Irregardless frequently but stopped after a bad experience in 2021 where the Thanksgiving dinner we preordered was terrible! We had not eaten there since then until yesterday. We decided to try them again during restaurant week and they won us...back! The food was perfect! Every dish from the restaurant week menu had the perfect amount of salt/ sweet and so well seasoned. Great options for vegans, gluten-free, and carnivores. Looking fwd to visiting again soon!More

Nice service. Solid food. The dip for app was best of what we ordered. We are not vegans but they seemed to cater to those who are.

We were in town for a couple of nights and found this restaurant on here. We loved our dinner because the food was excellent and every person who worked there was not only nice, but happy and very attentive. We had the salmon and the...shrimp linguini and both were excellent. I also had a delicious Sleepy Thyme cocktail and when I asked what was in it, the creator of the cocktail put the ingredients and measurements in my phone. We sat outside and the weather was perfect, so it added to our amazing dinner. I have heard that they have a garden in town where they grow their veggies and herbs, they pay their staff to volunteer around the city and when they had a fire and were closed they paid their staff the entire time! It just gets better and better. Go support this local gem!More

This was overall an incredible dining experience! Our server was absolutely outstanding. There was a nice ambiance with a guitar player playing live music. And the food was excellent! My partner and I live in Alaska and our friend ordered the salmon and when we...tried it we were extremely impressed. I also loved how the menu was split to differentiate vegetarian from non-vegetarian options. We will definitely come back to Irregardless next time we visit Raleigh.More

Irregardless Cafe served me the best dish I had during my visit to Raleigh. The service was excellent. I had the braised rib and grit that will make you come back. It made me a little sad that I don't live closer to Irregardless Cafe...to patronize again. Maybe once again.More

This place has unfortunately gone way downhill. Around 2015 I lived within walking distance of Irregardless and was sure to come every Sunday for the great vibes (live music!!) and overall unique brunch experience. I always ordered the crab cake eggs benedict, and I loved...how every meal came with free unsweet tea with the simple syrup on the side and a little shot glass of orange juice. Throughout the years I made sure to stop by whenever I was in Raleigh. Admittedly the pandemic kept me from visiting for some time, but I visited today and was really surprised how drastically things had changed. First of all, why did they paint the building white? The green was so charming. They also took away the free drinks and the tea is now premade with sweetener. They reduced the menu a lot and now opt to focus on dietary restrictions, which is fine, but seems to take away from a focus on actual quality which is how I would have characterised it in the past. I will say that our server, Henry, was absolutely wonderful, provided excellent service, and our whole table really dug his mustache. But I cannot say that I appreciate what the new ownership has done with the place. They really took away everything that made Irregardless so interesting and unique. It's become just like every other overpriced, substandard brunch offering in Raleigh. I used to treat Irregardless as must-go destination in Raleigh, however, I think I will pass from here on out and won't be recommending it the way I had been before. In fact, I am a bit embarrassed to have sent people there assuring it's quality when clearly that is not the case anymore! Go for the vibes if anything, as the live music is wonderful, but otherwise, there is no longer anything about Irregardless which makes it stand out. Another unfortunate loss in the recent development of Raleigh.More

The Thanksgiving menu really caught my eye when I was scrolling for a restaurant to enjoy while we were in Raleigh for a concert. Despite the regular menu being different, we decided to dine here. We are accustomed to having bread with our meals, so...I ordered the closest thing to it on the menu which was focaccia. Dull tasting. I had the Mahi Mahi. It was a decent portion. It and the accompaniments were just okay. I wish they had been seasoned. I could taste the char from the grill on the fish, but that’s pretty much all the flavor I tasted. There was no salt or pepper on the table. It’s only been four days and I cannot even remember what my husband had. That’s how memorable it was. I did have a good drink-Puttin on the Spritz plus vodka. The service was fine and the restaurant seemed clean. I was just disappointed. There are so many more better choices to eat at in Raleigh.More

As vegans, we love this restaurant and have brought many new patrons in for Sunday brunch the past year. Two weeks ago, we had our worst encounter this year. The vegan pancakes were small and not fluffy as in the past 14+ visits. The home...fries were wrinkled and the potatoes appeared to be deep fried. Deep frying is not healthy! In our opinion, home fries should be fresh, hot and roast or cooked on a griddle. Please remember constructive criticism is meant for improvement from people that care and want to return. The others who experience mediocrity fined another joint and never return.More

A long weekend birthday celebration and a friend’s recommendation spark a visit to Irregardless Café in June. A guitarist’s playing softly, large subtle abstract paintings on the wall, and warm wood furnishings were a fine setting for after-theater dinner. Local artists are given galley space,...which the restaurant happily promotes. Start to finish we ate crispy fried calamari, fried Brussels sprouts, a shared roasted beet salad, mahi-mahi and spanakopita. But I don’t remember dessert. Specialty cocktails and a good wine and regional beers are there for your choosing. A note about the neighborhood. There are performance venues near the restaurant. West Morgan Street is busy, but parking lots are close by.More

We have enjoyed Irregardless in the past and enjoyed eating there during the Pandemic. Love the vegan/vegetarian options and understand the business reason to introduce meat options. Unfortunately our recent visit was just not up to par. The spanakopita was “mushy” and not very flavorful,...the crunchy salads were way too wet, mango not ripe and lacked flavor and the teriyaki tempeh (my usual) had almost no sauce with the rice and veggies. We want to like this place and support a local business . Service was excellent!More

Our party of two had the mango salmon, mahi mahi, the fried brussel sprouts apetizer (huge!) and a glass of Sidekick chardonnay each. Service was an A+. Total not including tip: $86.61. A guitar and bass kicked out soft jazz quietly on the night of...our visit, a Friday. The food was very good but it was not elevated or next level. Irregardless, however, is a nice, relaxing night out. They are strong on vegetarian. They have music frequently. It’s a bright and pretty bistro. And if you have tickets to Goodnights, a nearby comedy club, it could not be more convenient. So, overall, recommended for a good time.More

There's something comforting about returning to an old, timeless standby after running through the gamut of the newest/hottest eateries in the region. Just dined after several years here 12-11-21, and have decided this is my go-to place for dining in Raleigh for special events when...I come over from Durham. I love Irregardless Cafe - the food, the feel and the fact it's been a staple for 45+ years. Our waiter, Vincent, was superb. Gracious and gentlemanly. The butternut squash lasagna was about the most divine dish I have had in ages! There was a wonderful jazz combo a happy din among diners. I di not want to leave! This place is a little slice of heaven.More

You may want to call the restaurant to see if this location can fit a large party. I didn't see a private space in the restaurant.
