Went with a friend for a leisurely lunch now that school is out. We were not disappointed. Had a quiche with a Black Forest salad. Both were delightful. I was pleased that I had a good selection of wine by the glass also.

Arrived around 8 pm, not many people at that time and Thursday night. The waitress whom is also the chef's wife was warm and efficient. My wife and I had the shrimp etouffee, fabulous. We were going to order the beef Wellington; however, found out when we got there you needed to order or three hours prior to arriving at... More

Had reasonably high hopes for this restaurant after reading about wonderful wild mushroom soup and great crab cakes......... Not the best wild mushroom soup, rather ordinary, crab cakes far too much filler, and too salty, average meal - not worth a return visit in my opinion.

If you want spectacular food in a great home atmosphere served by the most gracious hostess in Charlotte, treat yourself to Maestro's. Lobster bisque was the soup of the day and the texture and flavor rivaled the best I've ever had. The wild mushroom soup is great and beyond compare. My wife and I shared the fried oyster appetizer and... More

Visited during restaurant week. I preferred the Wellington as recommended by others. It was fabulous, just hard to find in Charlotte. Other diner with me was jealous. Only disappointment was not having the regular menu available to order from, and we had 1 child with us and there was no choice for them. Server was excellent, start to finish. Must... More

I actually would give Maestro's a 2-1/2 star rating. To begin with, the plastic picnic tablecloth did not make a good first impression. Food was good, but nothing special. We saw the movie Carol earlier in the day and the restaurant seemed from that early 50's era. Sorry to say we were disappointed, but maybe Carol and Therese would have... More

I just stopped in and got a couple different appetizers and tried the soup sample (both really good). We sat outside and I liked their outdoor seating. I will have to go back for a full course meal to see how their dinner menu is.

Went there on a business dinner recently. There were only 4 tables occupied but it was a Wednesday night with a little bit of rain outside. The restaurant is a two-story house and is run by the owners - husband is the chef, wife is the server. I was really curious to know whether they live upstairs as all the... More
