We were coming through Pilot Mountain and stopped in for a bite to eat. My husband had chicken scampi Alfredo and coffee. It was basically noodles with fried chicken and gravy. The chicken was good but there was no discernable hint of parmesan cheese in the sauce..it was a bit bland. I had a decent gyro..not great, not bad. The... More

My boyfriend and I planned a motorcycle ride today with the idea of having lunch in Pilot Mountain. I looked on Trip Advisor for ideas and saw this was the #1 rated place in the town. I was not expecting gourmet cuisine, but I was expecting tasty food. On the specials board they had "She Crab Soup." Now I have... More

My husband and I stopped on our way home from a myrtle Beach. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside is very simplistic. We were there during lunch and the menu is mainly sandwiches and salads. I had the chicken savlaski (sorry I can't spell it!) and he had a gyro. Both were very good. We... More

I had heard Sopper's described as a "hole in the wall" but I definitely do not feel that way. The former storefront has been beautifully renovated as a great little place to dine. We went on a Thursday for lunch before the Christmas holidays, and the place was packed with locals and tourists. The "lunch special" was ham and we... More

We have been going to Soppers since it opened way back when. The chef/owner cooks gourmet style food at a very very reasonable price, the waitresses are friendly and active, and the place is a big local favorite. We always take guests to Soppers, on the main street of Pilot Mountain (aka Mount Pilot from the Andy Griffith shows). The... More

My wife & I stopped for dinner after looking at a Christmas light display in Pilot Mountain. Sopper's has a variety of entrees, all inexpensive. We both had spaghetti and salads that were generous in size and very tasty. The restaurant is in "downtown" Pilot Mountain and appears to be converted from an old dry goods or hardware store. It... The menu runs the gamut from Greek to American food, with nightly specials. I almost always order the 8 oz. filet because it is always way bigger than 8 oz, which means I can get two or three meals from it. (Steak and eggs the next day, or steak sandwiches.) The meals come with 2 sides which I really love... More

I have eaten in the restaurant and also had food catered to my job from here. Each time I have had the chicken, which was done perfectly in house but dry when catered. Most meals are average/normal Greek or Italian fare with a spattering of sandwiches, etc. It is one of very few "sit down" restaurants in town, so of... More
