We had one meal to eat in Mount Airy and decided to go seafood. After looking at tripadvisor we were worried about the rating and some of the comments made, but decided to go to the Mayflower anyway. I have to say we were not disappointed! This isn't a place with a lot of frills, it's not that fancy of... More

Good value for good food. The atmosphere is relaxing and more than enough parking. The waitresses were very attentive and our tea glasses were never empty

As a longtime customer of Mayflower Seafood, Tuesdays have always been welcome because of its fried shrimp special. For many years, it cost $3.99, and gradually rose to $4.99 and later $5.99. Still a bargain, I thought, even when they charged you extra for the takeout box. However, fellow Mount Airy residents and Facebook friends, the tipping point was reached... More

it was good but way too filling - a lot of food for a relatively small price - they have since upgraded and added alcohol if that's your thing

The coleslaw here was better than my mother's. That's saying a lot. Both my husband and I had the regular size fried catfish because the choice is not offered under the Senior menu which is closer to the portion size that we usually eat. We weren't disappointed in the golden brown, lightly battered large pieces that we were served. Melinda... More

My cousin and I were in town for the weekend and decided to try the Mayflower because we have a Mayflower Seafood in Darlington, SC. We were not disappointed at all. The food was great just like home and our waitress was great! If you are looking for great seafood, friendly service and a family type atmosphere, then this is... More

We went to Mayflower on Friday June 7, 2013. The food was good and I have never had a problem with the food but our waitress was not that great. First off she mixed up orders, she charged one of the guests with us for a large plate when he got a regular. Then the manager wanted to argue with... More

The service was excellent, we got our food fairly quickly and it was delicious. We got there 30 min before they closed and we didn't feel rushed. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend eating here and would come again

My husband was in the mood for some NC typical "fried, dyed, laid to the side" seafood so we stopped here. YOu get your basic fried everything mounded on a plate. Don't know how he eats the stuff but it is just like most of these kind of NC "seafood" restaurants. Service was a bit slow, had me wanting to... More

The fish (flounder) was great and came with the good service, "standard" hush puppies and slaw. As drove over from Hillsville VA for this and wasn't disappointed.
