This is a little jewel of a place that a group of friends and I came across on a motorcycle trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway that has become one of our absolute favorite stop offs. The cafe is located just off the BRP in Little Switzerland, NC. I was so inspired by their Persian Chicken Salad the first time... More

We were there during the leaf peeping season. Stopping after almost 5 hours on the parkway. I had the smoked bbq sandwich. My fiend had the mountain trout. Both were excellent. Both quite good. Visited next door at the "general store" a true "jot-em-down" general store.

Always make it a point to stop here when in the area. Love the atmosphere and the food, especially the soups.

Stopped here for lunch before riding the Diamondback. Great service, friendly staff and good food. Would stop again. Nice little gift shop as well.

This place is so good!! Everything we have had here - from the trout, to the BBQ, to the "grown up" grilled cheese sandwiches - has been absolutely delicious! Lucky us for visiting in both the Spring and Fall when the cafe is open - great food, nice folks, and beautiful weather too. But go early - the place fills... More

Stopped in town quickly for lunch and stumbled upon this place. It's right in the middle of the tiny town and has a cool general store attached. The waitstaff were very nice and the service was quick. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was really good with their BBQ sauce, but that was outdone by a slice of their warm blueberry... More

We stumbled on this place just as it was closing and are so glad we did (and that they let us in). Honestly, we had the best meal of our holiday here - a roasted vegetable toasted sandwich and a slice of blueberry pie. Simple, but homemade and utterly delicious. The waitresses were lovely, too. If you get the chance,... More

A stop in Little Switzerland was our lunch goal during our drive on the parkway. We stopped by the very busy Switzerland Cafe and noticed the line for lunch. The wait was a very quick 10 minutes. I ordered the kale salad and my husband ordered the smoked trout BLT sandwich with potato salad. The kale salad was easily the... More

We drove up from Charlotte last weekend and loved it so much that we drove back up this weekend before they close for the winter. (I have heard Nov. but I have emailed them and I am waiting for a reply). Last week we took 226A (as they say... where can you find 190 steep, climbing curves in just 12... More

Stopped in here for lunch while traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway. Friendly, courteous staff. Food was tasty and affordable. Two had chicken salad sandwiches with potato salad. One had ham and cheese quiche with tossed salad. Another had pulled pork plate with baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. Shared dessert of lemon blueberry mascarpone cake. Awesome!
