Wonderful homemade food. Fried green tomatoes were delicious for an appetizer. Next time I will try the pie!

We came out of a full day of waterfall and mountain gorge hiking in the dark and were ready to keel over....The road to Linville Falls Community was right there and we were praying for somewhere to eat, and were super lucky to happen into Louis' for a down home big portioned Southern meal! It being a Tuesday night in... More

Rolling through the mountains and after the hike at Linville Falls a meal was in order. Shazam! Louise was right there. Friendly staff and a truly homemade chicken salad and soup. Enjoy!

En route to visit Linville Caverns, my husband and I were looking for a place to have lunch. Restaurants were few and far between on the rural road through this small town. Around a bend, we suddenly came upon the interestingly named "Famous Louise's," so we had to stop to check it out. Famous Louise's Rock House Restaurant is in... More

We stumbled upon this place on the back country roads. It was a great choice. A true home made country style offering of such variety. I had their pot roast with a cup of shrimp gumbo and fried okra. Enjoyed It! My grandson had a grilled flounder sandwich.

My wife had a ham and Swiss with a cup of soup. That was also about average and some thing that can be made better at home, to be... More

My family and I have been going to this place for the past several years. It used to be really good and a place we looked forward to visiting. Our experience this year was a far cry from those days. Cold food. Small portions. Bland flavors. A disinterested food server who seemed anxious to get us out. When we mentioned... More
