They have the most awesome veggie pie I have ever had! It was on point. The atmosphere is nice as well. We went during the later part of the evening. You could see the moon shimmer off the lake, they had a fire place going and the lights were on a dim setting (Not in a bad way!) If you're... More

I was a little skeptical about Italian food in the mountains being Italian and all but this place was really good. The Sicilian pizza was really good as well as the Alfredo. The waiter we had was Italian too and from Jersey so he steered us to the best dishes. Service was great, food was great. Highly recommend!!!

We were a large party in the private room and their buffet was decent with more attentive service than you'd guess. Easy walking distance from Lake Lure inn. Was our best meal during out short stay around Lake Lure.

Nice location with a good view. Our group had rib eye steak, spaghetti, chicken parmesan, salad and vegetables. All meals were very good. The crab bisque is excellent. Reasonable prices and excellent service. We ate in but they also have pizza for eat in our take out. The manager was very attentive and friendly. Nice experience.

Something about the mountains makes the pizza the best. Not sure if it's the water or the elevation or both but it's awesome. We have to eat here at least once while we are in town. Don't let other reviews fool you into thinking the service is not sufficient. It's the mountains it's not New York City or comparable. If... More

You can order spaghetti with regular noodles or angel hair. The house made marinara sauce is very smooth, not tart, just the right amount of spices. Manicotti is great with their house made marinara or meat sauce. Portions are generous and prices very reasonable. Hours are seasonable. The menu includes all the Italian norms, spaghetti, linguine, lasagna, eggplant and chicken... More

Their was six of us. We waited over forty five minutes for our food . Four of us ordered shrimp all three dinners were cold the vegetables and the pasta manager didn't even care. The only dinners that were good was a salad and a baked dish everything else was not. We didn't eat them. We wanted him take them... More

In town for a wedding, this guest must not have a clear recollection of his visit. His group was loud and boisterous when they arrived and appeared to have already been drinking. He must have forgotten that he ordered cocktails while looking at the menu and did not order dinner immediately. It took 26 minutes for dinner to arrive from... More

La Strada is a romantic Italian restaurant overlooking beautiful Lake Lure. Come visit us and surround yourself with plush mountains and a picturesque lake while you dine on our elevated covered terrace. Lake Lure received its name because it was said that the scenery and peacefulness lured you back time after time. We hope our rich family traditions and vintage recipes will have the same affect. In 1974 La Strada opened the first of several locations in Charlotte, North Carolina. Starting as a small family business specializing in New York style brick oven pizza and traditional Italian cuisine; word quickly spread about the great food and La Strada became a Charlotte favorite. After over 35 years of serving great food in Charlotte, La Strada and the original family members came to Lake Lure with their family recipes offering one of the most varied and unique menus in the area. There’s something special for everyone!
