For this type of seafood restaurant, Sanibel's is by far the very best in the local area. It was wonderful to finally have a fried seafood plate that tasted like it had been cooked in fresh oil. We had the flounder and a seafood combination of flounder, shrimp oysters and the food was cooled perfectly without over frying or having... More

Fried platter tasted grocery store frozen and oven baked at home. Stuffed broiled flounder burned. Clam chowder tasted like butter water with milk. No clams to be found. Admittedly, this is the first Friday in Lent, standing room only and the waitress did say the kitchen was understaffed. It was our first visit. The restaurant is nice, clean and the... More

I Love the Alaskan White fish. It's Something about the way they cook it, It taste so good! The salads are always cold and fresh, the hush puppies are too good to be true. You gotta get there early because they get packed quick.

We were recommended by a friend to go to this restaurant for the seafood. We ordered a carry out. Hubby had Fried Alaskan White Fish & Jumbo Shrimp (2 plate platter), I had the Special of the Day Popcorn Shrimp and Alaskan White Fish, both the dishes were served with Fries and Hush puppies. OMG so much food, and so... More

We waited only a couple minutes for a table...and the service was friendly & fast. We ordered seafood all around, but it took a bit longer for the broiled plate. All was good and hot. The seafood was fresh and tasty... large portions except for the boiled plate. The sides of hush puppies & slaw were very good also. The... More

Went with friends who frequent often. This was my first visit. Friendly greeting and was seated right away on a Saturday evening. Ordered the fried flounder, fried clams and jumbo shrimp with the baked potato. The food arrived fast and was very fresh. Everyone enjoyed everything they ordered and we had no problems at all with service. I will be... More

My seafood experience and education began when I was a child and was taken by my parents to a famed seafood restaurant in Maryland where I had my first fried flounder. Every visit was just like the first – the fish was very fresh, thick and meaty, and perfectly fried. The accompanying fries and cole slaw as close to perfection... More

We have eaten at Sanibel's a number of times. It is a popular spot and the parking lot is frequently crowded. The menu leans heavily toward fried seafood. Service is fast and friendly. We ate fried fish there and both my husband and I felt ill for several days. We later decide the fish was either spoiled or undercooked or... More

Visiting the area from New York I was recommended this for a good seafood restaurant. Very casual atmosphere surprised I couldn't get an alcoholic beverage as they don't serve any but I nonetheless ordered from their vast seafood menu of mostly fried fish some grilled. The portions were very large and what they call jumbo shrimp would be considered medium... More
