My co workers and I eat at this restaurant on a regular basis and we are always impressed with the quality of the food and the service. My favorite dish is the hibachi shrimp! I order it ALL of the time. I highly recommend this establishment.

This is one of our favorite spots to grab no-frills Japanese food. Japanese restaurants tend to have wildly-varying recipes for ginger dressing on their salads, and this just happens to be a recipe we prefer. Any of their Hibachi-style entrees are recommended. Each time I have ordered the shrimp/filet Hibachi combination I have been very pleased. The steak has always... More

This restaurant is tucked in a strip mall in the Palladium. Its got minimal seating so dont have a large group. We ordered sushi and Hibachi chicken as well as combo hibachi chicken/steak. Everything was fresh. The food was excellent and our server Erica was friendly and attentive (5 *). We'll be back again !!

generally when I eat Japanese food, I expect to have huge a box of leftovers for the next days lunch. Unfortunately they don't really give you that much at Yamato, but the food is good. I especially like the fish. It's one of our favorite places to eat.

I come here often when visiting the area because for under $15 I can get a quick meal and be on my way. There are no frills about this place, just a good basic meal without all of the theatrics of a Kabutos.

We have never been disappointed at Yamato's, whether it is for sushi or a plated meal. And it is one of the few places that everyone agrees on- even the grandchildren! The sushi chef who makes the delicious sushi (my grandson calls him "Smiley") never disappoints us. The sushi is fresh and well made. I think the service is fast... More

Service is very slow. On spring like days they have the front door open (to the outside) and there are lots of flies on these days. It's too hot, and the lights are off... an obvious money savings technique. As a customer this has become disappointing. For years I visited this restaurant but some days I leave more irritated than... More

Would not recommend the hibachi. It was tasteless and dry. We both got chicken hibachi. It came with shoestring cut zucchini and with onions although Larry got more onions than zucchini. Didn't matter though because it just wasn't very good and we each tried to moisten it and add flavor to it by getting a sauce on it but it... More
