From the time you enter the door everyone goes out of there way to make you feel welcome. The food is always on point. The steaks were perfect (medium rare)! Don't be surprised if Chef Dennis comes by to ask how everything was. From the appetizers to the dessert everything was delicious.

We apparently made reservations at the wrong Copper Door so make sure you call the one in Hayesville, NC. Luckily it was still early for them and we were able to be seated almost immediately. The vegetable soup was very tasty. The grilled Caesar salad had a dolup of dressing on the center of the stalk but nowhere else so... More

We celebrated a mini reunion of 4 siblings and spouses at the Copper Door in the Mountains of North Carolina. We were very pleased at the excellent service (our waitress, Paloma) and the wonderful food. Our group had a variety of seafood and steak entrees that were delicious. The atmosphere was cordial and warm. A very pleasant experience for all.... More

Beautiful upscale dining with great food and fantastic service. My wine did have something floating in it when it came to me, but when I pointed it out, the waiter removed it and gave me a new one. He was very helpful with the wine selection and did his best to accommodate my tastes. The meal was fantastic. If you... More

The Copper Door is a fancy big-city restaurant tucked away in the tiny little town of Hayesville in the mountains of western North Carolina. The food is pricey for this neck of the woods, but a real bargain compared to Atlanta prices. For $34, you can get a filet mignon that will melt in your mouth. Service is excellent.

Copper Door is the place to go for a special dinner. I took my sister and her husband here for my sister's birthday. Dinner was very good but also very pricey. I had the prime rib which was a little rarer than I usually get but it had a good flavor. Salad or soup is a la carte. My soup... More

We've been to Copper Door several times and it has always been good. They have a very good menu selection and the beef is excellent. This is fine dining so the prices reflect that but if you want a good meal in a nice atmosphere in the Hiawassee/Hayesville area, you want the Copper Door. I would highly recommend reservations. The... More

Small mountain town restaurant delivers a big city upscale experience. This small warm cozy restaurant will surprise you in how elegantly you are treated. We enjoyed an outstanding meal with our steaks prepared to absolute perfection. I have eaten in many 4 and 5 star restaurants, nearly all enjoyable, and we've dined at the Copper Door several times before this... More
