We always get the 5 item combo plate and share it. The scallops and oysters are my favorite. The employees always take excellent care of you and your drink never gets empty.

Don't visit Gastonia as much as I used to when my mother was alive, but when I return, cannot visit Twin Tops for great seafood! It never seems to disappoint and a great family environment. Almost all meals include trip to Huge Salad Bar and food is wonderful and plentiful. For those that like down home seafood, this is the... More

I'm lucky enough to live in Manhattan, and collectively New York City is often considered to be the food capital of the world. Yet my favorite restaurant is 544 miles away in the unassuming and unexpected Twin Tops Fish Camp, of Gastonia, North Carolina. My family moved to Gastonia about 15 years ago, and one of my favorite reasons for... More

Original owners have passed, the new owners/management still in place, same family groups, Food was Okay...not their best....as in times past was excellent, and they are trying but "just not the same". The catfish was okay but NOT the normal, the Salad Bar was decent but not the way you would think. The beets were starting to ferment, the salad... More

Quality of food is down from what it used to be. Service can be spotty or a little aloof. I don't know if recipes have changed or they are just not buying the same quality of seafood but it's not what people have known who have been going for a while.

Located on "Fishcamp Row" this is one of the originals. Great fried (it's the South) seafood including flounder, shrimp, and oysters. Also a fresh salad bar. Friendly, family operated business. Good value. Terrific experience.

For a genuine treat of th sea food genre, Twin Tops is tops in the Belmont area. We were warned to get there early because it gets quite busy on Friday nights and the advice was spot on. Arriving at 5:30 we just did beat a huge rush for the dinner menu. I ordered calabash shrimp and the salad bar... More

Great fried chicken and fried catfish. Nicely cooked and great flavor. Sweet tea is some of the best. Well worth the stop.

Our favorite is the crab legs! Best in North and South Carolina and incredibly affordable. Meals come with salad bar that is always fresh and full of variety. Service is very personal and family oriented.
