Very good food and service. Portions are big. Local gem and typical top notch local diner. Even though the restaurant was full, we were waited on quickly and the food came out will within a reasonable amount to time. Highly recommend!
This was a very tasty restaurant. Friendly staff. It was crowded on a Friday mid-morning. Lots of locals. The food was like any “greasy spoon” restaurant you will find in any town in America. Don’t drive 20 minutes out of your way to go here....The 5 star rating is a bit lofty.More
Best breakfast in the Raleigh area. Great food. Great atmosphere. Waitresses are extremely friendly and polite. I go for breakfast once during the week and every Saturday.
The food was excellent it couldn’t have been any better any where . The waitress was outstanding she kept our tea glasses full , and brought all of us extra hush puppies. One of the guys got string beans and all of a sudden he...told the waitress he wanted fried squash . The waitress said no problem just keep the string beans and she would get the fried squash . He bragged and bragged about the squash all day! We all decided this was a great meal together .More
Oh, man. Now I know why Angie's Restaurant has all 5-star reviews! This is a scenario where you wish there were more stars to give. We live an hour away but had business in the area so stopped by for breakfast after reading the reviews....What a delight! I had a huge veggie omelette that was packed with vegetables and my husband had the country-fried steak/egg platter. Both were outstanding. Wait staff was super friendly. Even on a weekday morning they had steady business and it was obvious by the greetings that most of the customers were regulars. It's easy to see why. Really delightful place. Will be looking for an excuse to wander over by Garner to return.More
I love this restaurant and have been going there for years, it always feels like home in the restaurant the wait staff know you and even if they don't they treat you like they do. It is a def home restaurant, the breakfast is excellent...with homemade hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, sausage patties or link, ham country or city. I love the pancakes too, all their food is spot on and don't forget the sausage gravy. LOVE itMore
Every time I go to Angie's in Garner whether for breakfast or lunch I have always had a good meal and Angie and her staff are all so friendly, feels like family.
Stopped here on our way to bike on the Neuse River Trail based on TA reviews. Staff was super friendly. Food was served quick and was very good. Would definitely go again. We had eggs, hash browns, biscuits and sauage.
All I’m going to say is if you don’t eat at Angie’s, you didn’t get the best breakfast. The best all around; food, service, friendly and CLEAN!!!
I've lived fairly close to Garner for 14 years but somehow had never heard of Angie's. I found it by searching for "breakfast near me" on my Iphone's maps app, lol. High ratings so I went down and realized why I'd never passed it --...it's tucked away off the main drag. Parking lot was full at 9:30 am on a Wednesday! Bustling inside, busy. A bit loud as everyone was chatting. There are tables only, no booths. I was welcomed warmly, sat immediately and was waited on immediately. Soooooooo much sweet Southern hospitality, and I just basked in it. Angie's is the best of what the South has to offer. : ) (If you're offended by anyone affectionately calling you baby, you best eat somewhere else! I take it in the welcoming spirit in which it's said.) I ordered eggs, homefries with peppers and onions, bacon and a biscuit plus coffee. It took a while for the food to arrive but I didn't mind. Every table was full, the waitstaff was running around like mad and passing waitresses kept my coffee cup full. I was struck by the contrast between how I felt while waiting for my $10 breakfast compared with being utterly ignored at a so-called 'fancier' restaurant in Raleigh the day before, where my bill was $35+ for a mediocre lunch and awful service. Everything I ordered at Angie's was cooked perfectly and was served piping hot. Sweet waitress stopped by several times to refill my coffee and ask if I needed anything, plus offered coffee to go. Behind me at the cashier I heard staff thanking customers for coming in and telling many folks as they paid, "we appreciate you." Clearly most of the customers are regulars. I was also struck as I looked around by how many of the tables contained mixed-race and mixed-age people, sometimes both. Right there in Garner at 9:30 am on a Wednesday, being at Angie's took me back to a time when people were just people, people got along, people respected differences of opinion, people worked hard and people had pride. It was a happy feeling. I loved Angie's and I will definitely return.More
The two of us came in we had an outstanding meals . She had the pork chops ,mashed potato and fried squash . I had the meat loaf ,string beans and sweet potato fries . We both agreed the food was outstanding. The waitress was...outstanding too we both had ice tea and she made sure our glasses stayed full . We did ask if they had fish on the menus, we were politely told only on Fridays . We would highly recommend going to Angie’s the food is great !More
We came to eat after getting wind of Lord Cooper's threat to close restaurants owned and operated by hard-working people and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! The wait staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was great and with gluten-free options! The atmosphere...was incredible. I felt like I was eating breakfast in Angie's kitchen with family. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you'll want to check out this experience!!!More
We went to Angie’s yesterday the meals we had were outstanding ! We had the grilled pork chops ! Oh my what a wonderful flavor they had . We both love going there and the staff is so nice . We would highly recommend going...there for breakfast or lunch especially on Thursday! But any day is a great meal day at Angie’s !!More
Food great, Angie and staff are a terrific group! Disappointed that the Covid-19 guidelines for dine-in are not being followed. The majority of the staff not wearing face coverings properly or at all! I can wipe down the condiments on my table but can’t do...anything about the face coverings but not go back. Very surprised since so many of the regular patrons are elderly. The carhop service is still in place.More
