Service was good, food was good. My wife had 2 pots of hot water using 3 bags of garden variety tea @ $2.75 per tea bag. Of course we didn't know that until I was paying the check. Sorry, but that is just wrong. Probably won't be going back there.

There is almost always playing a sitar for dinner, it is owned by an Indian family, the scent when you walk in is wonderful, the food is consistently good as is the service.

My daughter was craving Indian food, so we came late on a Saturday night. I had read good things about the place. There was a sitar player playing when we arrived, so that was entertaining. Mango lassis were good but I'm afraid I was not impressed with the value of what we paid for the buffet. A lot of the... More

I loved having a Sitar location on Duke campus, and was never disappointed. I've also been into the restaurant for the buffet lunch, and everything was delicious. Not a huge variety, but everything tasted hot and fresh, and flavors were spot on. Recently ordered some delivery from here, including the chicken tikka masala (best I've had in the Triangle), some... More

There is a buffet on weekends that will have you wishing your brought a wheel barrow for your gut. Everything tastes so good that you will want to try it all. Watch out, though, because it is filling. Do yourself a favor and save room for some dessert.

It you crave curries or any other East Indian fare this is the real deal. There is a luncheon buffet 6 days a week. The food is as hot as you want. Vegetarians can choose from a wide variety of dishes. I recommend the Mulligatwany soup and lamb ghosh.

My review is based on several visits. The buffet is OK. The choices are varied, however, the food is fairly average unless you are famished. The menu offers more choices. A visit on New Year's Eve was awful. They wanted us to order quickly, chow down the food and get out of there. Terrible service. Very rude.

I go here periodically to attend a business event. I always go in promising myself I will not eat too much. But with the chicken masala and 3 other types of chicken, saag paneer and 4 other types of veggie dishes, fresh hot naan, several condiments and rice pudding I could not keep my promise. The food is really good... More
