We live in North Raleigh. The food here at Mateo is better than the food we had in Spain this year. It is made with care, it is original, and it tastes great. Must try the devil eggs, camarones. I had a lunch sandwich once...More

Read the rave reviews, but I agree with the most recent posts. Restaurant is very loud, with tables close together. Service was OK. Order two different beers, both ended up being out. Huevos Diablo were good. Bistec de Carne (brisket) was good - but completely...More

Had a so so mix of tapas, including a small piece of brisket that they charged about four times what it was worth. Drinks equally over-priced. Not a good dining choice.

We used to go to Mateo's regularly but stopped because of the noise and service. Thought we'd give it another try, but left very disappointed.

an enjoyable evening to be sure. Had my salt intake for the month, however! Lovely new manager, staff seemed to be in a better mood than last couple of times that I've been in.

I have a crazy food allergy caused by a tick bite. Everyone here went overboard to make sure that I was safe. The food was delicious!

After a terrible experience, I returned to have a working meeting lunch and even though the result was quite better than the last time, I do not consider it to one of the best restaurants at Durham. When you base your restaurant around a concept...More

We went for dinner and enjoyed everything we had. We asked our server to recommend some options and that was a good call, because the names and descriptions of the items were not very helpful and quite honestly a little off-putting. One of the last...More
