At the Blue Note Grill, the BBQ ribs fall off the bone(delicious). The basket of fried Banana Pepper Rings Appetizer is a "must have". Sizes are plenty and the staff is wonderful! The greens are real and not canned. The evening we went, the house...More

Nothing special about the food but the atmosphere is iconic Durham. Local bands playing, local people coming over and over again. Noise is to be expected. If you like the South, this is the typical Southern living scene.

Meat falls off the bone at a mere touch of the fork. Amazing ribs, good sides, tasty local beers-only sorry I didn't save room for the bread pudding. Our server, Larry, was super friendly and I loved the very laid-back atmosphere. Beautiful evening on the patio!!

My third visit to Blue Note Grill in Durham, twice for dinner and live music and once for lunch. The ribs are 'finger sucking good'! I understand the Blue Note Grill is moving to a new location - sure hope the kitchen goes along. Fine...More

Stopped in for what I assumed would be a slow Tuesday night. It wasn't long before the place was packed and everyone was having a good time. I ordered the 1/4 rack (yes, half a half rack) of ribs, which was all I needed. I...More

Our first trip to BNG was with friends who are regulars. They knew the back story of all of the wait staff. Waiters who were not responsible for our table stopped by to chat. The owner made a brief appearance at our table. Other regulars...More

I read about this restaurant in an article titled "10 Best Restaurants in North Carolina" and I made a reservation. My boyfriend and I were visiting the Durham-Chapel Hill- Raleigh area all the way from Maine on a fact-finding mission to see if we want...More
