This is a great place for a burger and beer in downtown Durham. One person in our party had the veggie burger and she said it was delicious. If you are not a beer drinker, the soft drink options are huge and the cream soda was my favorite. The inside dining area is ver welcome with long wooden tables. We... More

We have been here so many times because we like the food. But, after awhile it just seems like we are paying too much for the food. The burgers don't come with fries, so you have to pay for your side of fries. Upside is that they have gluten removed beer, and gluten free buns (which is an uncharge also). We... More

Thought it was a big deal. Not at all. Very few cocktails and no high end choices. Actually, very few burger combinations. Yes, you can build your own, but seriously a great burger comes from the marriage of just the right combination of ingredients. My bun was stale. I couldn't order it MR. I got some explanation about if you... More

The burgers here will not disappoint! Be ready to pick your toppings and select your fries. All three choices of fries are great, but I love the basic Dirty fries. Atmosphere is great, but expect the cross talk to be loud. Sitting is on benches with seating out back where it is much quieter. We parked at the DPAC and... More

Cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, and fried pickle chips. Relaxed atmosphere. Quick service. Everything is eco-friendly and made fresh in the restaurant, except the ketchup! A must do for visitors!

My daughter and I chose this spot for dinner following a long day of airline travel and a visit at UNC in the sweltering heat. She chose it for the build-your-own burger and I always like checking out local breweries. The food was very good. The use grass-fed beef and local produce. They even make most of their condiments. The... More

We were visiting friends and in Durham for a track meet. My only critique is they need to advertise more(stayed at the Comfort Inn Medical Park). We wouldn't have gone there necessarily, our friends suggested it. Good variety for us and the kids. My son is in love with the duck fries, shoe string fries fried in duck fat. The... More

To say the least, the burger was average. You have to pay for anything that you add on including the cheese. The highlight of the visit were the sweet potato fries and the homemade sodas!

It was a gorgeous warm spring day when my boyfriend and I stopped in here. The ambiance was buzzing with eager visitors, but we had plenty of tables to choose from. We perched out back, nestled between warm bricks from days of old. Both our burgers were succulent, cooked to perfection. And the truffle fries, while the thinnest shoestrings ever,... More

Description
Bull City Burger and Brewery is a locally owned, independent restaurant and craft brewery located at 107 East Parrish Street in downtown Durham, NC. We opened March 2011. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner 7 days per week with approximately 90 seats inside plus 60 seats of outside year round patio dining. We offer family friendly dining with a children's play area, as well as a semi-private meeting room for business gatherings, events and presentations all within full view of our own brewery. The restaurant is very much "farm-to-fork," working closely with North Carolina pasture-raised beef farmers supplying beef with no added hormones and antibiotic-free, that we grind daily to make our hamburgers and all-beef hotdogs. We work with other farmers growing vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers for pickles, and lettuce. The menu is streamlined with nearly everything produced on-site including house made buns, sauerkraut and bacon. We use no artificial sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup, and no hydrogenated oils. We like to say we are like fine dining in a burger joint. We make the mustard, the slaw, the pickles, the mayo, the aioli, the hotdogs, the relish, the...
