We ate at the Lifesaving Station for several meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All of the meals were unique and delicious. Service was excellent, also. We will definitely go again.

There are very few bars open during Christmas week, so we were thrilled the bar was still open. Stopped and had a few beverages here - quiet location and friendly bartender.

We went for Christmas Dinner. It was our first time there and we were looking forward to a great meal - $60/four course holiday menu. The price was certainly reasonable, if the quality of the food and service had been up to par. Unfortunately, it...More

Went for lunch one day and dinner one evening. The service was great and the food was delicious. Real easy as a guest at the Sanderling Resort to just walk down and not have to drive anywhere.

We had a larger group than we usually do this trip, and couldn't reserve on Open Table because of our head count. We dined at The Lifesaving Station twice for dinner during the week, and they were very accommodating when I called for a reservation....More

Our breakfast was good but wait staff seemed very disheveled. They were out of sink, 3 waiters and a hostess for 4 or 5 tables seemed strange. Breakfast with coffees and tip was $50. I would give the service 3 stars but the food, decor...More

I had eggs Benedict with slices of ham and home fries. Mrs J had scrambled eggs with sausage. We shared coffee and an orange juice. Nice wait staff. A little loud but very convenient to Sanderling guests.

While staying at the Sanderling Resort, we had both breakfast and lunch at The Lifesaving Station. Both meals were very good and the service was excellent.

Description
Located in the original—and splendidly restored—Caffey’s Inlet Life Saving Station No. 5, the Lifesaving Station is a casual, three-meal-a-day restaurant celebrating southern coastal cuisine and regional, organic products. New with the renovations is a spacious outside seating deck and large fireplace. Known for its “best breakfast on the Outer Banks” and a-la-carte Sunday brunch, the Lifesaving Station is a favorite Duck, N.C. restaurant choice for both locals and vacationers. And be sure the try the Lifesaving Station’s famous Carolina BBQ Sampler and Spring Mountain Farms Buttermilk Fried Chicken, always on the menu. The Lifesaving Station maintains an impressive wine list. Local breweries are featured while specialty cocktails feature coastal “house cocktails” and bourbons. Upstairs, the renovated No. 5 offers sweeping views of the Currituck Sound. The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to catching the game and enjoying quality cuisine.
