We enjoyed an excellent meal here. We were early and out of season so the place was quiet. Staff was great. My husband had their take on shrimp and grits with chorizo. The grits were formed into deep fried logs. Sounds wierd, but he loved it. I had the mahi francaise over pasta with marinara. Delicious!!

Husband and I went here since it is sister company to sunset bar and grille (which we liked) very long story short such bad experience. Ordered the prime rib and it was so bland and so tough to eat I sent it back. For a burger to replace it and the burger was raw I asked for medium. Spoke with... More

My friends and I visited the first week of the off season so each restaurant had only a small staff but Fishbones made sure we were seated and served immediately. The burgers were great and cooked perfectly. We were visiting the week before Hurricane Matthew so they offered a drink and a burger titled Hurricane. Fun!

Stopped in for some couch chowder and a beer. Their chowder is still great. Had to find good couch chowder without going to Florida. This is the place and it's fixed up real pretty inside since the last time we visited in 2015.

Love the coconut shrimp appetizer. Laid back scene for family dining. Great menu choices. Really good seafood. During the summer the summer catch is delicious.

We had a quick lunch here on our way to a vacation in Corolla at the OBX. Sandwiches were very plainly served (one slice each of lettuce & tomato). Two sandwiches and 2 Corona Lites were $44. Very noisy bar atmosphere. Probably would not stop here again.

Came last summer and really enjoyed the place. Came back this year to a totally different experience. Unfriendly and unconcerned staff. Conversation: "I'll have the tuna tacos." "We're out of tuna." "What kind of fish do you have?" "Mahi" "Can I sub mahi in place of the tuna?" "No." Seriously? Another patron saw us struggling with our 2 year old... More

Definitely informal with a long bar and a line of tables across from the bar. 4 TVs were going with various college football games. The mahi-mahi BLT ("B" is pork belly) was delicious as were the seasoned fries.

Had the pleasure of experiencing the Fishbones Raw Bar & Restaurant... some really good food here. I had the Mahi, Mahi Taco... my wife had a special order of Po Boy Oyster Sandwich... and shared the shrimp appetizer; everything was very tasty. The bartender introduced me to the local IPA which was remarkably very nice. Our Russian waitress was very... More

Due to weather they were closing early. But I was able to get in and out under 30 minutes. I had their clam chowder which was less a soup then it was the consistency of a dip. Still delicious though. I also had the fried oyster po-boy. Loved the bread but needed a bit more sauce. If you have a... More
