Visited this restaurant in their new location on Monroe Rd twice this month. Service is very slow but the food is worth the wait. The injera is wonderful and all the food delicious. Some of the dishes are over-salted, but they are happy to substitute something else whenever we have not been satisfied, and ever bring extra servings.

The restaurant has newly relocated to a new building on Monroe Rd. Service was poor and the food left a lot to be desired. From the time we placed our order till the food hit the table was 45 minutes. Including us, there were only 12 people seated in the restaurant. My order was wrong when it arrived but we... More

Nice little restaurant. Moving this summer from Midtown to Oakwood. Traditional Ethiopian fare. Tasty kitfo and served on an enjira platter.

A lovely little room with a tiny tiki-like bar, food from Ethiopia, Africa with a delicious vegetarian platter (18" plate) with several tasty samples of Eritrean and Ethiopian foods, also avail. beef, goat, lamb and some raw meat dinners, also chicken and seafood and alcohol. Artistically decorated with ethnic art but the service is slow and a bit disorganized.

We had a really wonderful meal here a few weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about it. The young woman who waited on us couldn't have been nicer, and we felt welcomed and comfortable. The ordering was a bit complicated, but she walked us though everything, and was very nice about a few dietary restrictions that we had. The lamb... More

spoke to an Ethiopian patron at lunch that also said he had not eaten such good cooking since he left Ethiopia years ago. Truly incredible, loved it so much that I even got 2 more meals to eat on my road trip. The injira bread is the best here. If you like this food or never had it b4, this... More

I'm a fan of eating Ethiopian and Eritrean food from my days living in NYC - this place definitely brings me back to those days. Restaurant is small inside, but it provides a very cozy, refreshing atmosphere versus larger restaurants where you have to yell to be heard at a dinner with friends, etc. Portion sizes are more than adequate... Between two of us, we split the chicken combo which consisted of tsebhi derho, tibsi derho (chicken dishes) with a few vegetarian dishes. Items can be cooked spicy or not spicy. This isn't a super-sized combo, but more than enough food for the two of us. The spices and flavors were outstanding--Definitely a place we'll visit again soon.
