I don't go here often and only because I don't want to weigh 500lbs but all of the food is excellent. I tried to be good and get the baked chicken...OMG it was spectacular.

We discovered this place by accident, walking by what appeared to be below street level. The breakfast was a build your own piece by piece. The price was very reasonable. The lunch menu was very large, so we returned. The people that worked there were very friendly.

Lola's is short on decor but has seriously good food and service. I was ready for some local food and not restaurant chains or fast food. The food is served cafeteria style but one glance told me this was not food that was canned or old from sitting on a steam table. I had collard greens that were bright tasty... More

The place isn't fancy, but the food is delicious. This is a great place for casual dining. The service is cafeteria style, it's neat and clean and the staff is friendly. I was in Charlotte visiting family and to attend a convention. I ate there three times. The macaroni and cheese, collard greens, baked and fried chicken and sweet tea... More

I only got the vegetable platter because I wanted to try so many side dishes, and they were awesome. The best collard greens I ever had, plus amazing black-eyed peas and dirty rice. Also delicious were the candied yams, cornbread and sweet potato pie. The restaurant has a little dining room, so we ordered carryout ahead of time. It was... More

The vegetables & entrees taste good. They run out of food frequently. However, They need some work on customer service. Disappointed that they close at 3:00 p.m.

Awesome food, great prices, friendly staff! Grab a plate go through the line and pick your entree, sides, and dessert. You can really have a great meal stuffing yourself full for $12.00! Not open on weekends--too bad since it is across the corner from the NASCAR Museum.

Ate lunch here due to recommendation of Nascar Hall of Fame employee. Boy do I owe her a thanks. This place was awesome. The restaurant is not fancy, go through the cafeteria line and pick what you want. The food is prepared southern style with great seasonings. The sweet tea was better than what I make. The cornbread was better... More

Southern emphasis casual dining at very reasonable prices. Not many vegetarian options, but the fried catfish was decent, the cornbread excellent, macaroni casserole better than many, not as good as some. Gets crowded at lunch. Cafeterial line style. Wouldn't be a place to have a formal meeting, but fine for a casual chat over lunch. Menu: www.urbanspoon.com/r/38/421051/restaurant/Downtown-Uptown/Lolas-Charlotte Very, very convenient... More
