We take out curry laksa and roti telur at least twice a month. Dining there is also very nice. Friendly service and a wide interesting menu.

OK, maybe I am biased but I have eaten here twice in 6 weeks and boy was it good. The staff is polite, they are Johnny on the spot with drink refills and very willing to please , you can tell they love what they do. I was there with 7 other guys for lunch and the orders all came... More

Cannot stop ourselves to go here at least twice a month. Food is full of flavor. We do look through the menu but order the same items every time we go. They have a special combo menu for lunch which comes with a drink and salad ( with there house made ginger dressing). They do specialize in 'curry'. They are... More

Being a Malaysian, I had high hopes and pride. Ordered Curry Laksa and it's NOT what I expected. Flavor missing, ingredients wrong and just not LAKSA. Lost appetite! Won't return. Service was horrible. I'm sad, disappointed and embarrassed. Calling yourself Malaya Kichen and fail to introduce or serve up authentic dishes, is just plain wrong.

No trip to Charlotte is complete without a visit to Malaya Kitchen. The house specialties- Roti Kanai, Laksa Curry, Cilantro Chicken and Garlic chicken remain our favourites. The food is fresh, flavourful and spicy, as needed! Service continues to be friendly and responsive - great to see that in these changing times, some things remain consistent.

Whole meal not good. Hardly ate a bite of soup and spring rolls. Soup had zero flavor and spring rolls were not supposed to have meat but they did. When I questioned it they kept denying the meat even when I showed them what appeared to be ground pork. They saw how little and knew I was disappointed with spring... More

I went with some coworkers who frequent the restaurant and let them order several of their favorites to share. We had Roti Kanar for appetizer, which had great curry flavor. Then we had lettuce wraps, curry fish, and salted fish. The fish was red snapper, whole fish(can substitute salmon). Cooked perfectly. Salted fish was completely new for me, like its... More

The food is consistently good. There is a nice selection of Chinese/Thai/Curry dishes. Try the Sarang Barong (sp?), it's on the menu with the specials. Great service, they remember you when you return. Prices are good for the quality.

We were in the mood for some Asian food but couldn't decide which. Malaysian sounded like a good mix of the best of them so we gave it a try. My wife and I were both very pleased with the extremely patient, helpful, and kind service and our food was excellent. I had the meegorang with chicken and my wife... More
