great venue in the SouthEnd, right on the light rail line, at one of the stops. But here's a tip; skip the shrimp and chips. Stick to the old standby fish. The frozen breaded tiny little shrimp were flavorless and couldn't be salvaged even with a lot of tartar sauce.

I absolutely love this place. Fantastic selection of typical English food. Also the service is great. We go there for our Christmas Lunch and dinner on New Year's Eve. It has a fun filled atmosphere as they see in the New year in both the U.K. and America.

We visited this pub tonight and had fish and chips based on a previous review. We were not disappointed the meal was great . They had a good draft selection and bottled beer. They did seem to want to get you in and out quick. The staff was nice the place is well decorated and authentic. I would definitely return... More

My Sister who lives local to this restaurant, has always raved about the Big Ben. Therefore, on the occasion of an extremely rare get-together on 26 Dec with our Family from the UK, I wanted to treat my siblings (party of 8) to Fish & Chips, only to be told by the Waiter that they had run out of chips.... Nice place to stop and sit and have a drink. Laid back and not too expensive. We did not order any food, just had some beer, cider etc. My son that travels indicated the Guinness fell a little flat - we thought that odd for Guinness on tap in a pub. The food looked like pub fare - but we... More

Has a good pub atmosphere and good service. The food is good but its a bit pricey for the volume/quality you get. First time i was there (four or so years ago), they charged $3 for a bowl of potato chips. Prices have gotten more reasonable which is why i have started going back. The food is real good though.

I stumbled upon this place and decided that this is place to have lunch......so far so good. I'm glad it's empty right now.....so enjoying the quietness and admiring the décor. Lots of food and drink specials to choose from. Good food too!

I visited Big Ben British Pub and Restaurant with my husband on a Thursday evening. I love the British culture so when I stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp I decided to try it. It was not crowded when we went. It was nicely decorated and our food was pretty good. I think I was expecting a more authentic experience,... More

I was so excited to try the chicken pot pie, but was sorely disappointed. Yes, I've been to England and had their food, but this was something else entirely. Loved the atmosphere and drinks we had. I would go back again for that!

Our waiter was very, very nice - but sometimes hard to find. She did bring me a sample beer, which I appreciated, but it took an inordinate amount of time (in my opinion) to get it. And then when I ordered my actual beer, that doubled the amount of time. On the other hand, they had a great selection -... More
