I must start by saying I overall love the Dunhill lobby lounge and their Asbury restaurant: especially Patrick and Donny who are still there after years of me going there for food and beverage! I ate a WONDERFUL dinner there last nite at Asbury's. the cabbage rolls stuffed with spaghetti squash and mushroom and with sweet potatoe puree and figs... More

Dear Uptown G, As a longtime regular guest, I appreciate your comments about the consistent service and food experiences you typically receive, and your specific recognition of Donne and Patrick's contribution to your overall impression of our restaurant and bar. As you can image, the rest of your comments cause concerns. I've spoken with several members of my team to... More

Six of us gathered at The Asbury on a recent Sunday late morning for brunch. The Chicken and Waffles were very tasty and I kept hearing rave reviews about the 'skillet' of biscuits some ordered. The poached eggs and crab cake dish also received high marks as did the plain waffles and fruit cup. A very nice, relaxing Sunday morning... More

Stopped for breakfast and was pleased with the Service and experience at the Asbury. Greeted with a smile and very friendly service by Connor. Made suggestions about ordering and was very attentive.

After a meeting, we gathered with those in attendance and other related parties for a cocktail party, of sorts. The Asbury was very comfortable. The food was good. Beer selection was okay - and the barkeep was very friendly and helpful. The wait staff was very helpful and kept everything stocked (including bringing fresh drinks etc). All in all, the... More

We made plans to visit Uptown with my daughter who was visiting from Virginia. This place was on my wife's radar, and one of the few places she had not visited in her many years living here. We were seated by a young man and dove into the menu. We made our drink orders with our server who then wanders... More

This place is attached to a local hotel. It's a small venue but didn't feel cramped (was there over lunch). The menu was new - a new fall offering. We had the squash soup (delicious) and the chicken soup (delicious). I had a pear salad which was good but they forgot some of the ingredents?? The wait staff was pleasant,... More

Enjoyed a nice meal here in a delightful space. We had some small dishes included the Deviled Eggs, the Maw Maw Cast Iron Biscuits with Bacon Jam, the Mac & Cheese and the Pear & Apple salad. It was delicious and the service was great.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at The Asbury. Our waiter, Dennis, was quite knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. The menu has many unique items and food combinations. The warm kale salad was surprisingly good with the smoked Trout. My wife enjoyed her shrimp and grits especially because the geechie boy grits were prepared with peanuts.

Description
With its warm service and artistic food presentation, The Asbury puts a sophisticated spin on the local food movement and traditional Southern dishes. The Asbury is a tribute to Charlotte's southern roots and the culturally diverse community of the New South. There is a strong tie to heirloom ingredients native to the area and specialty items grown by small, family farms throughout the local region. Located on the corner of N. Tryon & 6th Streets at the heart of Charlotte's cultural district, it's only fitting that the restaurant features local art curated in collaboration with Sozo Galler. Open seven days a week and serving the longest weekend brunch in Charlotte. Complimentary two-hour parking available in the Fifth Third Bank parking garage accessible from 6th and Church Streets.
