We went back after not going here for about 2 years, as we don't live as close. We always knew it was a great place, and decided to try it for a BD dinner. Everything from the service, sultan's corner table, food, drinks, atmosphere was excellent. Allison, the server, had great recommendations and took care of us with expertise. My... More

I stopped in with my daughter on a Thursday night before touring UNC Chapel Hill. We had Acılı Ezme and Kisir and were totally surprised at how delicious both dishes were! We had never tried Turkish food before, but are eager to try to recreate these dishes on our own. The atmosphere was really very nice and the service was... More

It was a busy football weekend and most restaurants were booked so we tried Talullas in the mood for something different. The food was fantastic liked it better than Lantern across the street which is so highly rated. Our server helped us navigate the menu and make our selections. Flavors were wonderful nothing disappointed us through the great desserts. The... More

Went for a date night. Got a wonderful seat by the window in one of the alcoves. The service was excellent and the food delicious. It was our first time and we got a wide variety of appetizers and a meet sampler.highly recommend

Turkish salad to die for. Simple yet delicious and plated very nicely. Lamb chops was recommended by the folks at The Franklin hotel. And they were devine! Really like the setting, could be a nice date place or a business dinner place.

Had a very nice dinner with a small group, I forget exactly what was ordered but I had a taste of everything, and it was all excellent, left knowing that I will need to return to try other items.

Had a business dinner here recently and was very impressed. Interesting decor and Turkish food. Had the house special lamb dish and I will get it again if I get to go back. Outstanding. Alison our server was charming, helpful and efficient. Also terrific stuffed grape leaves and baklavah. Well priced. Highly recommended.

1. Atmosphere: Unique and inviting. Sat in a lovely window seat overlooking Franklin St. 2. Food: I highly recommend ordering the weekend only special thinly sliced lamb...it was amazing and enough for two people. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. I also tried the lamb dumplings and falafel...both authentic and tasty. And you MUST order the "shredded wheat" dessert...it... More

If you like Turkish food, this place is very authentic. I felt like I was back in Turkey. The mezze was excellent and my husband had the sea bass which he really enjoyed. The bread came to the table, freshly baked, and hot! The red pepper dip they gave us was wonderful. I had a wrap and my only complaint... More

I have had the chance of eating at Talullas for several times.I usually order the same food , Talullas' Salad and red lentil soup, this is just me... Their soup is spicy but not hot spicy and tastes delicious. However, my desert choice alternates between Kunefe and Baklava. They definitely serve kunefe warm enough so that you can see that... When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.
