This place is a feast every day. Most of it is good quality. The space is very noisy and feels chaotic, but it mostly works well. Take out, or eat inside, or outside on the sidewalk. A Chapel Hill institution.
I love this place. Their gyro meat is fabulous - sometimes we buy a couple pounds to bring home. I love their little bar with extra stuff to load up on like tziki sauce. I could live on that stuff. Their hummus is delightful. Just...More

Live in Asheville but eat here every time I'm in Chapel Hill. Great, unique mid-eastern food, fantastic grains, reasonable prices, and serious size portions. Wish there was something similar in Asheville
Mediterranean Deli offers fresh food with a wide variety of choices to fit selective tastes. Lots of seating. Street parking is minimal but there are several lots within walking distance. Be sure to end with baklava and a Turkish coffee.
If you are looking for Mediterranean food this is the place in Chapel Hill.

Absolutely. Just push the small tables together. It might be worthwhile to mention to one of the restaurant staff your intentions. Or phone them beforehand just to give them a heads up. They might be willing to set it up for you before you all arrive. Please know that this not the type of restaurant where wait staff come to greet you and take care of you throughout the duration. You order at the counter. They give you a number on a place card and then bring your food to you when it's ready.
