We knew enough to get a reservation, which was promptly honored. Our server was arrived and explained the specials. We had an appetizer of mussels, which were quite good. I had the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly. The glaze was a little sweet for me,...but just a personal preference. My wife had the filet - also cooked perfectly. We had 2 Maker's Marks on the rocks, listed on the menu as $9. When I glanced at the bill, it reflected $11 each. I questioned the server, why the price difference. I assumed maybe they had gone up, but didn't change the price on the menu. Her explanation was that it was more expensive to have it on the rocks. WHAT? That doesn't even make sense. Then she asked if I wanted my bill adjusted. Well YES I want my bill adjusted to reflect what was advertised. Seems like the way to handle would have been to verify the price on the menu and insist on adjusting the bill. Four dollars is not a big deal, but the principle and then the explanation. Anyway, a minor issue, but you may want to check your bill. The food and service was very good.More

We enjoyed dinner at The Orchard on Thursday evening, October 15, 2020. The food was superb, the atmosphere relaxing and enjoying, and the service excellent! I had the duck special (melt in your mouth), and my husband the blackened salmon special equally as good. The...homemade cobbler was scrumptious. Waited 15 mins just to order. The waitress should be employed in a diner and not this type of a restaurant! Couldn’t give any suggestions, she was slow and rude! Not a place to go to in Cashiers! Food was OK at best! Not going...back!!!!More

The Orchard was our favorite meal while staying a week in the Highlands! The most memorable dish was the Franklinia Ravioli - so delicious. The online ordering process was a breeze, and food was ready right on time. The Orchard took all safety precautions seriously...and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!More

We had dinner with friends. The place is great for social distancing with different rooms. Our friend had been there before and raved about the lamb chops. His wife had a pasta dish that was a special. I had the Trout Almandine as trout is...their specialty. My husband was ecstatic about the seafood pasta! It was a great evening. Spent my birthday dinner at The Orchard. Could not have asked for a better meal. Great service. Nice ambiance. Reviews were spot on! Don’t miss it!

We spent a week in cashiers and we chose the orchard due to trip advisor. Emailed the restaurant for a reservation and they responded promptly. Rustic/wooden decor and a beautiful garden in the back. Wished I had known to ask to be seated outside because...I would have. Waitress very nice, recommended a reasonable wine for us which we enjoyed. Started with the Brie appetizer, very mild Brie and delicious. I ordered trout and the waitress told me about a version not on the menu which was blackened and I decided to get that one. My husband orders the chicken with apples, breaking our rule never to order chicken when we go out. Both dishes were wonderful. My trout melted in your mouth and his chicken was well cooked-not dry at all. Side salads and veggies were fine. Nothing exciting. Got key lime pie to go-I didn’t eat but my husband said it was great. Would definitely eat here again. Felt very safe with Covid restrictions.More
