We have dined with the cork and barrel for the past 3 years and the service and food had been fantastic. This year, maybe it was the pandemic or new staff, the service was SLOW, our waiter was watching tv at the bar and we...had to ask him 2 times for 2 different things (for example where was our simple salad and charcuterie meat and cheese board when our other guests got their hot meals????). There were a lot of to go orders and only 3 other tables seated and a few eating at the bar. We wanted to try the restaurant next door but they were on an hour and a half wait even though we called and tried to get our name in the list they told us they only take reservations for 6 or more and their restaurant experience is 2 hours! I do not know if they share a kitchen with each other but that is ridiculous. Not sure what held up Cork and Barrel kitchen but I hope they find more attentive servers. I do not believe the pandemic is to blame for this. Other than those things the fried wings were delicious, fish dip was great and the charcuterie board you did not get to choose what type of meat or cheese you get.. It is always good to try new things but you know what you don’t like and do like in meat and cheese varieties. Hope you have a better experience than we did during this time. We do want to go back next year in hopes they have other options on their menu to choose from. If you are look for small beer style place this is for you.More

First let me say....They did not offer the same menu we found on Trip Advisor. We were very disappointed but tried it anyway. We choose the wings which were not impressive at all. That being said our waitress was good and attentive.

We truly enjoy the variety of tapas offered here. Great big shout out to the Fried Green Tomatoes! It's nice to be able to sample and share a variety of tasty dishes, instead of big meals.

Very good service, good food and good drinks. Some friends and I had dinner here and ordered several of the tapas plates. The food was good and the service was excellent. Drinks were good also. We will be back.

Looking for good, quick eats, give this place a try. Fried green tomato stack was good but kobe slider and beer battered fries were awesome! Flatbread was also good. Seems to be a local hangout and everyone was very friendly.

Well, my initial thought upon entering the restaurant is that we were going to leave hungry. It is small, and only a few tables, it looks pretty fancy to this Buffalonian. The menu was very appetizer-ish, but it had alot of choices. Between the 8...of us, we ordered just about everything. The "buffalo" wings were outstanding, and everything else was beyond delicious. The plates were created with passion and care, it showed. Not a single one of us could eat another bite, and it was all very reasonabley priced.More

Loved this place for dinner. A little pricy, but food quality and experience exceeded expectations. Felt like a locals special destination. Recommended. Would give a higher review for better value.

We stayed nearby at Hampton Inn and needed some food late. This was the only place open, but it was so good! The bar was jam packed for a Thursday night and the bartenders could barely keep up-- we kept an eye out for our...food after we paid and just grabbed it and left. The food was AMAZING! Kobe sliders, tater tachos, and wings-- you can't go wrong. The slaw was great too!! Best "last resort" we have ever had. Very thankful they were next door.More

What a great place to enjoy some dynamite appetizers and feel at home in this casual place. I love this quaint place and every time I come to the area, I eat here. The food is always fresh and the plate presentation is lovely. The...drinks are good and the service is too. You can't go wrong with just about everything on their menu. We tried the bacon wrapped scallops with were crispy and cooked to perfection. We also tried the philly egg rolls which were good. We loved the fried green tomatoes because of the flavors of pimento cheese and then finished with a bacon onion jam on the top, which was a nice compliment to the crispy tomatoes.More

Yes - there are two restaurants - right next to one another. The "nice white cloth restaurant" is Table 64, Cork & Barrel is tapas and drinks - very informal. Just Google "Table 64, Cashiers, NC" and you'll pull the... More
