Of the most popular Italian "chain: restaurants, Macaroni Grill is one of the most authentic. The food is actually prepared from scratch in the kitchen. The bread is good and crusty, the sauce is not soupy or overbearing, the pasta is "al dente", the salad is cold and fresh. Don't compare it to "mama's cooking", though. It's not THAT good.

Very nice and quiet time with my baby. On weekdays it's not busy which is nice in this busy world. :)

We had dinner last night as part of a large group (26). We had a reservation and they had 2 long tables set up for us. However, the location of the tables did not leave any room for the wait staff to serve us or for anyone to get up and use the restroom, etc. they expected us to pass... More

We frequent this place because it really is good and it is close to home, but because I prefer seafood and they do that very well here. I have NEVER left hungry that is for sure. The desserts are good as well and plenty big to share. Not 5 stars mainly because it is a little too bright and cold... More

I was really looking forward to a good meal here, and I had high hopes. Our waitress was very nice and polite, but her lack of hospitality skills made a mediocre meal into a bad experience. First, the food quality was not great. I got a dish with meatballs, sausage, and penne all topped with tomato sauce. The meatballs tasted... More

First time in a while visiting here. Ordered several dishes including spaghetti with meatballs (meatballs tasted frozen with too much filler), lasagna (meaty and very good), chicken parmesan (okay), fettuccine alfredo (the sauce was fantastic, almost as good as mine!). Each of the different pastas were cooked perfectly. The portions were huge, more than enough for another meal. Loved the... More

I ordered the gluten free pasta with chicken & shrimp in a parmesan cream sauce My fiance ordered the classic Italian bake. Our server, Rosemary, was unsure of ANY bartending. I asked for a sweet Mai Tai & she was lost...for a while. Instead of just saying she didn't know or looking it up, she asked me to write down... More
