This is literally one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The food is out of this world and the service can't be beat. I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not- they accommodate both of us beautifully!!!

The pictures look great, but when you get there the tables are crammed together in small window-view room and it's noisy. Very uncomfortable for dining because the sound travels across the room and you can hear what everyone is saying including other guests and staff. When you consider the very high price of the food, you feel taken and cheated... More

This review has been posted by a particularly challenging guest who stayed with us a single night. He was challenging when making his reservation and throughout the course of his stay. We ask the reader to contrast his statements with the pages of reviews which precede it. Note the consistency of other reviewers on the caliber of waterfront seating and... More

You can not beat the view overlooking the sound. You can have drinks outside on the porch and then go in for dinner. They grow a lot of their own vegetables and herbs. The food is fabulous and the wait staff are wonderful.

We were guests at the Inn so breakfast was complimentary ... take advantage, it's wonderful!!! We had originally planned to have dinner there one evening during our stay but ended up doing so twice. The food was excellent both times, as was the presentation and service. Live entertainment on FRI night was super-fun, a very talented acoustic guitarist by the... More

We had an ocean view table which was amazing. The meal was outstanding. I had the short ribs with fresh spinach and mashed potatoes. My husband had a seafood dish with mussels and shrimp and clams. Both meals were outstanding. We each had an alcoholic beverage and 2 salads which were separate and the total bill was $89. Not too... More

We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Café Pamlico. It was an upscale dining experience with very professional staff and an extensive wine list. The food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. It was the hi-lite of our visit to Buxton.

First of all, if you are a guest at the Inn at Pamlico Sound, breakfast is included in your room rate. What a treat it is with fresh muffins or scones every morning, along with excellent breakfast fare. We had dinner at the Cafe twice during our stay and on both occasions our dinners were excellent, including very fresh oysters... More

This is one of the most beautiful places along route 12 soundside, to have dinner! The inn also offers rooms for over night stays and the grounds surrounding the location is alive with fresh vegetables, herbs etc. that are in season at the time of your visit. The owner uses the fresh grown items in the cooking of the meals.

Stopped in by chance & it was Taco Thursday - great meal - fish tacos, shrimp tacos & steak tacos - $5.00 each. The meal came with some nice home made chips & dip. And I believe they have different specials on different nights. Very good service as well. Would definitely recommend.
