We chose this place for any early dinner. We got off to a disappointing start with our salads. I asked for a dinner salad with caesar dressing, and instead got a caesar salad. My wifes dinner salad had of all things on it, canned green beans. Her stuffed shrimp tasted OK but the smaller size of the shrimp really wasn't... More

To be honest, I went here because I was told to try the elk burger. Well, I did. I was told by the waitress that I should have it cooked medium because to cook it more could dry it out. That made sense. When I cut it open and in half I noticed there was a little more blood than... More

I ordered a salad with blackened chicken. The dominant flavoring on the chicken was salt. There were cold canned green beans on the salad. I have had cold green beans in a salad and they are fine if they are steamed fresh beans. Canned green beans are yuck. This was their vegetable of the day, so there you go. Tells... More

They have Buffalo burgers and steak fries! So many options on how to have your burger, I had blue cheese and bacon and my hubby had Hawaiian style. Very good, reasonably priced, very nice staff.

Food was pretty good- we got shrimp pasta and a southwest chicken- probably should have gone with burger, steak, or trout. Will try again when we return next year. Reasonable prices. One weird thing- asked for crushed red pepper and was told they didn't have it. A restaurant with a large menu didn't have crushed red pepper. Even at a... More

I don't think a visit to Bryson City would be complete without a visit to Jimmy Macs! Great fried trout, full bar, reasonable prices and lots of comfort food. Sit by the window and watch small town America stroll by. Talk to your server and delight in true North Carolina hospitality. Family owned and run by a lovely young family,... More

We are a family owned and operated all American steak and seafood restaurant that specializes in hand pattied beef, buffalo, and elk burgers, hand cut steaks, and fresh seafood. Since we opened in 1978 in Tampa Florida by my father, we have been believers in keeping things fresh, fairly priced, and family friendly.

Hey this is jimmy from jimmy macs, and wanted to say how sorry we are to hear about you not getting a chance to eat with us. During different times this time of year the train drops off 1000 or so people in a town that has seating at restaurants around 300 total for all the restaurants combined. And combine that with the fact that we are blessed enough to have a strong local following and unfortunately only seat 95 people total we can run a pretty big wait sometimes. But if me and my wife didn't work real hard to keep up the quality of food and service we would prob have open seats. But we do take pride in our business and our reputation, so I wanted to ask you to take a second to reconsider your review and ratings. We have worked day and night, seven nights a week to get and keep our score high and we are very confused about a 3 out of 5 because we are to busy for the time you have for dinner. Hopefully you will agree that it's not fair to put our score down to a point that would take us months to get back just because we do what we are suppose to do. And then the next time you guys are in town you can call and ask for me or my wife (grace) and we can get you checked in over the phone and reduce any wait time to almost nothing. I truelly do value every single one of our customers, and take great pride in knowing people choose to spend a special occasion, family dinner, or just a bite to eat with us. And truelly hope I can get a chance to take some pride in myself by seeing y'all enjoy not just a meal, but a night out with us. Thanks in advance for your reconsideration
