Totally reimagined and redesigned. Fab farm to table freshness, and a most excellent beer and wine selection. Ask Foster to give you a 'tour' of the wine room - we walked out with a few bottles and came back for a few cases - outstanding...More

Newly opened, our hotel gave good a good review. We were very disappointed in our lunch salads. Two salads with meat were $20 a piece. A lot of lettuce not much greens, we did get meat on them. Yes everything is fresh, don't mind paying...More

Thank you for your comments. Our salads are prepared with all fresh produce from our local farmers. Adding pan seared trout or grilled or fried Cheerwine brined chicken to any of our salads rounds them out and makes for a complete meal. Our sandwiches, sides...More

The menu is limited (meaning: not a big menu), but they did a great job of everything we tried! The Fries are a must with Parmesan and Rosemary and the best Aioli I've ever tasted. The night's special, a thick pork chop was delicious with...More

So glad you enjoyed your meal. We have kept the menu limited intentionally in order to ensure our best representation of Appalachia cuisine. The vast majority of our ingredients are locally sourced, organic when possible, and all humanely raised. The quality of our ingredients care...More

We both enjoyed our trout dinners with Hoppin' John on the side. The side dish is a nicely seasoned combo of brown rice and black-eyed peas. The service was attentive and we enjoyed having a flask of water on the table. Also called a "bottle...More

Located in downtown Blowing Rock- on the corner of Main Street and 221- is the newly renovated and reinvented restaurant and bottle shop. We explore the roots of Appalachian food and beverage culture, and recreate it in our kitchen by preserving and reviving ingredients of our local heritage. To accompany the celebration of our regional dishes, our new beverage program focuses on terroir driven libations. The term terroir evokes a sense of place, and in our shop this is evident in everything we do. The bottle shop emphasizes traditions of fermentation practices by offering some of the best “home-grown” beers and ciders around. In addition, our wines highlight small producers from old world to new.
