The new owners are trying hard here and deserve success. Their wines are good. The tastings are professionally presented

Just coffee - takeaway- but surroundings nice, staff pleasant. Have visited 2 years ago as well for a meal which was good then too.

A pleasant, relaxing, friendly stop along Commonage Road. A simple menu, quiet and unassuming but worth a stop for wine tasting. There is a lack of signage and can be missed, you need to keep your eyes peeled.

Called in to the Swooping Magpie to purchase a bottle wine for a friend and ended up purchasing 3 different types of wine. Certainly worth calling in for a sample, staff are friendly and very knowledgable. They have a restaurant but we did not eat. Do yourself a favour if you are chasing a nice wine.

This winery/cafe offers a range of wines and a very simple menu with limited choice.. The weather was overcast and the tables on the verandah were a little cool ( our choice ) The staff was very obliging and did everything to make our visit enjoyable. The food was tasty and home made. The coffee was excellent 9/10.

We hadn't been to this small winery before so decided to call in mid afternoon. The setting is tranquil and rural. We bought some cheese and a glass of wine and sat in the pagola. There were plenty of magpies around but none were swooping ! The wine was nice enough for us to buy a few bottles. Well worth... More

I love this place, it's casual and the home made treats are delicious, the generous vineyard platters are always tasty and I love the wine. Unassuming but should be on anyone's list who need a light lunch when down south.

Swooped on this (ptp). When we just simply couldn't book a posh, flasho, restaurant on Wednesday (very busy time) before New Year. Absolutely fantastic, very lay back, simple and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were terrific. Think they are the owners, must be, because they were bloody great. Well priced, not over the top platters and pizza to die for. Good... More

We found this place rather expensive for the quality of the food. If you're after a cafe meal then you'll be happy. Service was slow with only a couple of staff during the peak season. Disappointed.

Hi Jeff, apologies for a late reply to your review. Sorry you didn't enjoy your time here at our winery cafe. Obviously when you were here it's the busiest week of the year, and we struggled to keep up with demand. Your review stands out against the overwhelming favourable ones, but we appreciate your comments nonetheless. Regards, Neil. More
