We had passed many times over the years on the way to Auburn. We had lunch yesterday and it was excellent. Attentive service. Really good schnitzels, spaetzle, German potato salad. Others enjoyed good-looking burgers. Large servings at good prices. Going back for dinner soon.

We gathered with old friends to celebrate and catch up. Our dinner was quiet, fabulous food and attentive service. The specials were truly special - Beef Wellington and a perfect seafood combination. Reasonable selection of local and NYS wines and beers. Only downside is the overabundance of iceberg lettuce in the salads.

Great service and meal, large portions, This dinner was for a birthday celebration. The entrance was easy to negotiate by an elderly member of the party. The room was a little noisy. Great place!

We use to drive past this restaurant on our way to Auburn. Now it will be our destination. Auburn will have to wait. Old Eire was quiet and uncrowded with good service, reasonable prices, and fabulous food. The Chicken Scallopini and Sauerbraten were excellent.

Initially we were the only two present, in a few minutes the locals were arriving: One had been here earlier for lunch, several couples, a group of ladies then a group of six. Rob had a bowl of bisque soup, while I I dulled with a bowl of artichoke hearts! I asked for some olive oil (I'm Vegan) which i.poured... More

My wife and I went there on my birthday, in May, and I had the weiner schnitzel and my wife had the prime rib special. The service was good and the food was excellent! Over the years, all the good German restaurants left Syracuse and none were left! A friend recommended Old Erie to us and it's a gem. On... More

We are regulars here and are never disappointed or underwhelmed. The atmosphere is quaint and pleasant, service is friendly and personal, and the food is always great. They have a great rotation of craft beers on tap and amazing homemade desserts.

There seem to be fewer German restaurants available these days and this place was excellent. We had 4 couples that ate here after seeing a play at the Merry Go Round Theatre. The food and the service was supurb!

Pleasant atmosphere and delicious food just a mile off the New York State Thruway. Cozy booths, tables, pub seating at the bar offer a variety of options. We ordered salmon salads and were very pleased with nicely grilled salmon filets served over fresh spring greens. Service was fairly prompt but not hurried, and very friendly. Small-town hospitality with convenient access... More
