Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the Arabic salad, merguez and the houmous with shawarma. This place was obviously Bedouin so we purposely didn’t go for anything Israeli. The food was fresh and delicious. Great mint tea too! The waiters smiled and were prompt. The owner (lady) was a...bit stand-offish but never mind. The music was entertaining with a good bouzouki musician. The price was decent and there was no service charge so we gave them a tip. Great experience - thank you 🙏🏼More

I went to dine here with my girlfriend on October 29th, 2022 at around 1pm. We made it very clear to the lady who served us that I had a severe and fatal peanut allergy, and she assured us that she would let the kitchen...know and make sure there were no peanuts in our food. When our food arrived, we began eating. After a couple of bites, I noticed a raw nut in my French fries. We went to ask the server what type of nut it was, and she confirmed it was indeed a peanut (despite her knowledge of my allergy). She then offered to remake our shawarma dish (which came with fries) which we accepted. However, she asked us to keep the French fries and only remake the shawarma but we refused to avoid any further risks (it turns out that if we did not refuse, the situation could have been far worse). When she returned, she gave us a new dish of shawarma that had some vegetables on it in lieu of French fries (we should've known what happened at this point) and mentioned that the French fries had been fried right after the peanuts they put in their salads and that was the reason for the contamination. This was VERY CONCERNING as I had already consumed the French fries, and so we asked if they had been fried in the same oil as the peanuts which she reluctantly confirmed. We then rushed straight to the hospital as I go into anaphylaxis shock when I consume peanuts. To add insult to injury, she simply said "ok bye" when we told her we were going to the emergency room due to her contamination and did not seem to care whatsoever. PLEASE BEWARE PEOPLE - IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES THIS RESTAURANT COULD GET YOU KILLED. BE SAFE!!!More

The service was probably the worst I’ve ever encountered!! And the owner was no help, self righteous ended up leaving the place without eating.

The mixed grill was good but everything else was pretty bad. The humus tasted like store bought, the stuffed grape leaves were from a can. Even the french fries were not fully cooked. Too bad. The place itself was fun to eat in.

We came in two families. 4 adults, 6 kids. The place is How the hell this place appears as 2nd place in trip advisor?? Are they paying money? I'm very surprised I m not sure I can rely on trip advisor!!! not clean.. I cleaned...my table and the fresh one wiper was black. Some of the plates were also not clean and were replaced. Took 20 minutes until a waiter came and another 15 minutes till we got our drinks. Than took another 15 minutes till we got our food. I ordered falafel humus - the worst I ate. After tasting just left the plate as is. No one asked we if something is wrong and of course no one offered no to charge me on that... My wife had shakshuka - eggs with tomato sauce.. it was ok. Not fresh tomatoes or something special. My son had barbeque wings - according to him was ok. My daughter has kids meal chicken sticks - I ate one and it was ok. Of course from a bag.. not fresh made.. The pitta bread we got came in cold. We were very disappointed and will most probably avoid returning. This is in no way representing the Israeli food. If you want to go there, go only for drink something and smoke shisha.. not to eat.. And if you do want to eat, have patience and order the kids meal.More

The food was ok, but the portions was the smallest i ever seen in an eastern restaurant, and the prices were very high.

The food and atmosphere at this place were great! Great choice of drinks and food we got the tradition grill and it was one of the best meals we had all trip. Their are cats ALL over and they do irritate you for food so...if you have an allergy this may not be your place. Luckily we love cats so my daughter was thrilled. They had a huge party while we were there so the service was slow but they were very nice and the people watching was worth the long dinner.More

The Taj Mahal is a Beduin restaurant, not an Indian one, in spite of its name. As soon as we entered, I ordered so that I could have something to eat by the time I returned from the toilet. There is no toilet in the...restaurant, which is against the law of course, so the restaurant staff sent me to a nearby hotel. The total walk was around 1/2 of a kilometer. When I returned, I was disappointed to discover that what I had ordered was unavailable, so I had to order something else. At this point, the music suddenly became very loud. When I asked for it to be turned back down, I was old that they didn't have any time to do so! We ordered salads. When they arrived, I asked the manager which ones were spicy, as my wife likes spicy and I prefer bland. He told us that they were all bland, and brought my wife a plate of hot, spicy peppers. I tasted on of the salads (not the peppers, of course), and my mouth burst into virtual flames. I told the manager that that salad was burning hot, and he broke out laughing. I would have left right then if I had been alone. When I asked for salt and pepper, the waiter brought us only salt. The salads ranged from mediocre to poor. The flies enjoyed all of them. We ordered chicken breast and kebab for our mains. Both were quite good, and even the cats kept trying to eat them. Parking is in a free, unpaved lot, or a paid lot down the street. A restaurant with flies, cats, no toilets, a rude manager, very loud music, mediocre salads, and poor service is not a place I ever want to go back to.More

Generally a tourist trap. Standard middle eastern food. Service was slow. Refused to accept credit cards in a claim of a comms failure, which I seriously doubt

There is no kosher certificate, it's open on Shabbat but I'm almost sure that they use only kosher ingredients. You can always go just for drinks :)
