This place is a real delight with tasteful ambience. Loved the offerings but when tourists like me are out to experience the food with inadequate cash in hand, it becomes difficult as the outlet does not accept credit cards and the nearest ATM is a good walk away. I wish the restaurant be able to cater to todays generation as... More

Bit of a hike from Stone town centre, but worth the walk. Bit pricey, but food is genuine and very tasty. Service was quick and staff super friendly.

Like most of the people visiting this place, we (a group of 3 persons) visited this restaurant based on TripAdvisor recommendations. Unfortunately, anyone who has ever visited a decent (not luxury) restaurant, anywhere in the world, can easily notice that everything related to this place is just posh commercial. I honestly cannot understand how this restaurant can get an excellent... More

We never tried Ethiopian food before, so we were excited to try some, while in Stone Town. Found this restaurant on Tripavisor and we weren’t disappointed. The table has a large circular structure, where they serve the dishes. They come with soap and water to wash our hands before and after dinner. They have a wide variety of dishes and... More

Dear Guests, we thank you very much for your kind remarks on our restaurant, on the food and specially on the Ethiopian Coffee. Since Ethiopia is the origin country of coffee (wild varieties), coffee drinking becomes a specialty with a long tradition, combined with local popcorn and insent burning from the local Boswellia tree. We would be glad to welcome... More

A bit expensive but the food is top quality and genuine. Ordered a recommended menu for two people and had more than enough to keep us satisfied. The avocado mango lassie is also really good and filling so only order one between two people!

We went here for lunch on a hot day in early January but we got a table in the shade and it was quite comfortable. I ordered a lemon mint juice and it was so refreshing! Food was quite good - we ordered a combination dish with 3 different dishes and the injera felt very fresh. Overall, a very good... More

The food is average. Combination platters only offer a choice of 3 dishes whereas all the other Ethiopian restaurants I have eaten at will offer at least 5 dishes to sample. Service was unenthusiastic and not attentive. The whole place seemed to lack attention and care.

Very nice food, cooked and served in traditional way. The restaurant is situated in a small garden, the service is attentive and of good quality but may be improved at noon. The menu is excellent.

The food is good, no complaints there. The chef obliged our request for a vegetarian fir fir which was great. The service is laughably bad with the low point when one of our party waved at a waiter who froze and turned away and had to be followed before serving the drinks which had been requested multiple times prior to... This was my first time having Ethiopian cuisine (my boyfriend had this type of food in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan before). We stumbled upon this restaurant as we wandered around Stone Town. Food was good. We ordered the mixed meat combo and some smoothies. This was one of the more expensive restaurants we ate at on our 3 week "budget" trip through... More
