During December 2017 we went to Maria's for Lunch it was amazing, the total different style of "cooking" your own food on the table, the kids and we had so much fun, the fish meat and prawns were to die for not to mention the sauces garlic butter and creole that you get with it. Can really recommend this we... More

A bit of a drive to get to this place but well worth it! Good food! Very basic and simple but charming and good service.

Had the crepes with bacon and cheese. While not expecting the healthiest dish, ours was drowning in grease. I hope the other dishes are better but won't be back.

My family and I enjoyed my husbands birthday dinner at Maria's Rock Cafe last night and had the best time cooking on the hot rocks amongst the fun pirate themed interior. The restaurant is located down a quiet, windy road close to both the Kempinski and Four Seasons hotels in the south of the main island of Mahe. There is... More

This was new ... we had our doubts ... very typical island style restaurant, service was extremely fast, not so friendly but then she was the only waitress and cook in the restaurant. This lady moves! We had seafood on the hot stone ... very healthy, she started the cooking for us and we finished it. It was great FUN!... More

It is a unique experience to be able to cook at your table. It is a neat concept which of course would never go over in the states because of liability concerns, but it is a lot of fun. The menu is small; crepes of which we had for dessert and fresh prawns fish chicken or beef or any combination... More

Driving around the south west corner of the island of Mahe we came across this restaurant by accident attracted by its pirate ship artwork, We had a quick look and could not resist the smell of large Prawns and fish cooking on each table on hot stones, And yes it tasted as good as it smelt and it was good... Crepe is a must try! Looooved the crepe with prawn and cheese. Hot stone bbq was also great, I had to come here twice.

Had a nice atmosphere with exotic feel. It definetly is a very nice idea to cook fresh seafood or meat on a hot rock by yourselve. However for me personally this was not too enjoyable at a heat of 28C. I drank about 5 beers which I was sweating out during my cooking experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Maria's Cafe!!! Highly recommend the prawns or fish which are local and fresh and come out raw... which allows you to cook to your preference on the hot stone. Good value and great spot for a snack!
