Veal cutlet sandwich was very tough and was discarded, insipid sauce, mushy pasta, and overpriced. We will not return.

The food was good with large portions. Service was also good. The size of the restaurant is deceiving from the outside as there are quite a few tables available.
We had lunch today at Joey's in their new location and all three got something different. The service was good, I had a nice cup of Manhattan chowder, which you don't see that often. Ambiance very pleasant, good bread, and not over-buttered as you get...More
I found this little place when looking online for an Italian restaurant in Utica, the night before the Boilermaker road race. Boy, did I luck out! It doesn't like like very much from outside, simply a pizza place on a quiet street. There were 4...More
I always enjoy to visit Utica, NY. For small city it offers lots of awesome restaurants, food stores, bakeries. Joey's offer very home made, tasty Italian food but also have some foods that no body offers like tripe. My friend loves tripe and he was...More

There aren't many places where you can get a big bowl of home made pasta for so little money! Pasta, sauce, meatballs... all really good, as were the greens we had as an appetizer. All meals come with a basic salad and garlic bread. Nothing...More
I have to agree with Maureen M who had posted a review before me. We ordered appetizers, one of them being calamari: they were rubbery, tasteless rings. Our meals all lacked flavor, albeit huge in size. We have heard such great reviews but left pretty...More
Tucked in a run down neighborhood that I assume used to be Utica's Little Italy, we had some second thoughts parking on the street outside. Once inside though, this was probably the top meal of our entire NY/VT/Canada 10 day trip! The homemade pasta dishes...More
We were in town for a baseball tournament and although we don't normally get Italian food out of town, there were so many in the top spots of Trip Adviser, we thought we'd give one a try. We were quite disappointed. The restaurant is not...More
