I had not been there in a while but they really seemed to have upped their game! Both food and service are much improved from a couple of years ago. Service is still a tad on the slow side but very professional. A true anchor of the Troy dining scene.

Craft beers are Brown's specialty (!), with new flavors cycling through on occasion to keep things interesting! My favorite go-to is the Cherry Razz (a medium-bodied beer that isn't too sweet, but has just the right touch with a maraschino cherry added in for good measure) and the Oatmeal Stout (a must for stout lovers, with a fuller body and... The beers are great - there is something on tap for almost any taste - light, dark, or exotic. The chicken wings with garlic and parmesan are to die for! Atmosphere cheery and the wait staff lots of fun. Perfect stop on a cold, snowy winter day.

We have gone to Brown's many times. We went last night for the Imperial stout. The food is fine..I had the salad with chicken, my husband the reliable fish and chips. The service is practiced and excellent. Folks of all kinds from young couples alone and with their kids to the elderly. Comfortable and welcoming to all.

We go often to Brown's still due to waitress Kari who takes such good care of us. The food is good quality however, I think they have made a huge mistake by eliminating some of the old favorites such as Spiedies with Pita bread. I heard they are changing the menu again and I'm not surprised that the new menu... More

Great brewery in a sophisticated downtown. Walking distance to all the site of Victorian Troy...menu is extensive and priced well with good food.

A friend and I visited on January 2, which made parking super-easy. We were seated right away and had great service our entire visit. The pulled pork sandwich was great and my companion loved her fish and chips. Substantial portions and a great variety of offerings make this a great choice for lunch.

Stopped in for late dinner and was extremely please by the beer selection. I ordered a plate of wings (multiple sauce options) and my wife who isn't a beer drinker had a wine and a burger. Will be back next time in town

This is definitely your typical american pub few steps above dive bar and a few steps below a modern fancy establishment. The food was not bad but nothing to write home about perhaps my expectations were a little to high. The oatmeal stout was a little thin for my taste but to each his own. Would probably come back for... More

The food and beer here is really good. Browns oatmeal stout is a must if you like dark beer. I also like you can take some browns beer to go
