First time here, in an event night in downtown syracuse. It was crowded, but we were able to get a table in 1/2 hour time. Good was good. Unfortunately they are one of many restaurants who have switched from a natural gluten free item to one coated in WHEAT! French fries should be advertised as "COATED" When they serve these... More

Visited Syracuse to attend a show at the Oncenter, after a long drive to get there, we decided on this restaurant to have a drink and a light dinner before the show. Upon entering we were greeted by the owner/manager who asked us which event we were in town for. We immediately thought he was just interesed in what we... More

I can't speak all the items on their menu, but I can tell you this - the 'Beef on Weck' is NOT a beef on weck. Someone needs to show this place what a kummelweck roll is, because what they are serving doesn't even resemble one. This sandwich is more like a transplanted Arby's sandwich, and that is putting down... More

My husband and I have gone to the Ale N Angus Pub when we want a down to earth burger that taste's as if you made it at home. Never disappointed. Great portions, friendly staff. Suggest you check this place out if in the area or looking for a good burger in downtown Syracuse, NY

It doesn't have the atmosphere I think of when I hear "pub". More like "bar and grill". That's not a problem, so long as you know what to expect. Good range of beers on tap, above-average selection of bar food (burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips, etc.). Super-convenient to the Oncenter.

Ale and Angus is a corner bar/restaurant adjacent to the Onondaga County War Memorial and the OnCenter convention center in downtown Syracuse. We love going there before Syracuse Crunch hockey games but you need a reservation a few weeks in advance if you want a table. They have typical pub fare, burgers, salads, sandwiches, but the best thing about their... More

The Ale N Angus is my favorite downtown Syracuse overall restaurant. Super, family run business with great service, excellent food and reasonable prices. The homemade chips are fantastic.

This place was a great ending to our night at the Syracuse Crunch Hockey game. We had excellent service. The waitress was right on with getting our food order in and refilling our drinks. The place was very busy and had an awesome sports atmosphere to it. The food was your average pub food. My buddies did say the burgers... More

The POWER PLAY BURGER is a "must have" for anyone who enjoys a good burger. The kitchen is most attentive to all requests and food comes out promptly - hot and delicious. Owner Randy Beach welcomes you and makes you feel at home, especially if you're traveling on business. Ale & Angus is a definite for me when I'm in... More
